We could also say that Since JFK was shot there, you did help lower the amount of hot air here in Mass.;) :D

{{{ Toni }}}

{{{ Brats }}}

:eek: :eek: I was just a little bitty girl! I don't really remember it. I do kind of remember seeing Oswald get shot,on tv, but nothing else. My grandmother had taken my aunts downtown and they had already left when he got shot. I have heard about it all my life but even though I was here I could not tell you what I was doing or where I was at or anything like that. That has always been a black eye for Dallas.

I don't remember it either. It has never been a big part of my life. I have cousins in Texas and that is what I usually think of when I think of Texas. (Of course now I think of you and other Literoticans.);)

I went down to Texas once for Business, (Waco and Richardson) and the person I was travelling with (older than I) commented that the South never forgave the North for the civil war and that the North never Forgave the South for JFK. I asked why and she said this is my first trip where I haven't brought a camera. I guess it means more to some people than others.

On a lighter not, the Sci-Fi show Red Dwarf once did an episode where the characters went back in time and screwed up JFK's asasination. Which they thought was good, but then it turned out that Kennedy's sexual activities came to light and he was disgraced, impeached and imprisoned.

They went back and tried to fix it, but in order to avoid themselves they ended up moving Oswald to a location where the shot did not kill, so they ended up taking JFK back with them and he was the second gun-man on the grassy knoll which of course would drive the conspiracy theorists nuts.

A funny show, with and interesting explanation of the events.

Buggy

I remember when I was married, ages ago back in my 20's, my brother - in - law had a penthouse or playboy, one of the girlie books and it had the conspiracy theory in there and it had ppl ranging from Castro, and Onassis, the mob involved because of things that Joe Kennedy had done and then when JFK got into office he was cutting down on the mob activities and that is why he and Robert were killed. It was kind of bizarre, but yet the way they proposed it, it could be possible. Especially since the American public has soooo much that is not revealed to us and we trust our leaders. And of course, we don't see the things that go on behind the scenes, unless they get caught up in some scandal. And of course, I finally saw the movie JFK, which was filmed here, by Oliver Stone. But there has always been alot of controversy surrounding him, too. But I remember that my mom and dad watching the news after JFK got shot and they were reporting it, there was a young reporter who did not know who Jack Ruby was and he got the name wrong. My dad said hell, they are talking about Jack Ruby! And mom said who is he and he said that he was a small time gangster, club owner, well known in that part of town. But that he was always trying to be a big man. (My dad grew up close to there) The movie you are talking about sounds like it would be funny and interesting. You know I have never been to the 6th floor museum? I have been to the Kennedy museum and it shows footage and some of the docs etc that they have released over the years.

I have also been to the JFK library. My wife wanted to go. I worked with a guy who previously worked in the national archives, and he has seen the windshield from the car and he reports there are bullet holes in it that indicate they were shot from the fron of the car.

I believe that Oliver Stone makes very dark movies, sometimes too dark. What happened I don't know. What would we do if we did?

Nothing. I don't think we will ever know! But I guess it really doesn't matter. But it did take Dallas a long time to get over being blamed for hating him and killing him.

Well at least we do tend to get over things here. Fortunately we don't do them as frequently as other places like the middle east.

true, very true. I am so glad of that. I could not imagine war among each other for years and generations, like they do.
