Any of you go to the small Ren Faire Excalibur in Smithville Texas?

This is the last weekend. I am going to be there (as I have all the other weekends.) and was wondering if I might meet any Litsters there!

I normally visit the Michigan Ren Fest in Holly, but I've been unable to go the last few years. Hopefully I will this year.

I refuse to participate in a Ren Faire until they accuarately recreate the squalid living conditions, the Black Plague, the cycle of famine, and the fact that 98% of the population was acutally peasants.

Oh, and until they allow raids by Vikings.

San Antonio Scottish Festival

It was a very good festival. The Scotch Egg was good with a Guiness (sp) beer. A falconer performed. There were some good bands and performances by harp. Parades are always a good thing also. The atheletes were (Sat) C class atheletes and 190lbs and under atheletes. Sun was the premium day for games tho, the atheletes were Master class. That class all competitors are above the age of 40. Two of the top atheletes had previous professional athelete backgrounds. They broke and reset all of the field records.

The last ren faire i went to was in Kansas city 2 years ago. I loved it. Esp. b/c one of my guy friends dressed as "plague boy" in a potato sack in 50 degree weather. I really really wanna go to annother someday

I'm so excited because this year I'll be going to my first Ren Faire. It's in Harveysburg, Ohio and I'll be going the last week of September for Romance Week.

No current plans of going to that one and the largest that I have been to is the Sterling one in upstate NY.
