For 15 years public school teachers have been cheating!

and all of them from some of the reddest states in the union. funny how that works.

The governmental-educational complex (Ike) has been completely turned blue, even in Red States; that is why Bill Ayers went from terrorism to education. It is ruled by a relativistic philosophy in which cheating is a moral judgement and one does not make moral judgements, one produces desired outcomes.

The teachers here have totally removed morality from their vocabulary. We've been paying taxes to public schools so they can hire people who aren't even qualified to teach our children. No wonder the public schools are failing.

Private entities NEVER cheat!

Only the evil Gub'mint!

Also, Wall St and corporations never, ever lie.

I'm willing to bet the teachers know more about the constitution than the op.

When private entities cheat they are held accountable. They are hit with fines or lawsuits. They have to give the money the illegally earned back.

Are the taxpayers getting any money back?

It's no surprise that our kids cheat, look who they learned it from, public school teachers. This just makes me sick that these people were paid with tax dollars. Hope they get fired & thrown in jail. Another reason we need to move to private schools.

So you are extrapolating from this article that, in general, public school teachers cheat on tests AND teach their students to do so, too? You do understand that a small percentage of people cheat on every test created, right? It doesn't matter whether it's the SAT, Praxis, LSAT, MCAT or state plumbers' certification test. Some people try to game the system. This is why companies like the Educational Testing Service spend millions each year on test security. I happen to agree with you that cheaters should not be permitted to teach, or practice law or medicine, etc. But you are making a really dumb generalization. I'm guessing you're not a very good critical reader.

They aren't qualified to teach them anything but to cheat.

Let's look at the facts. This went on for 15 years. This touched the lives of over thousands of public school students. Thousands of kids, and thousands of parents did not get what they were forced to pay for.

Feel free to generalize all you like I don't have to. I'm upset for these kids, their parents & their communities who were forced to pay for something, didn't get what was promised them, and now have no recourse.

I'm not generalizing. You are. Yes, this is bad. It's a shame these teachers got away with it as long as they did. But the part about them "teaching their students to cheat" isn't in the article. It's your opinion. Most teachers are hard-working and more dedicated to their students than a lot of parents are. And do you think because of what you read in this article that this sort of behavior is limited to public schools? Why?

No. YOU generalized. I was talking about this specific case. I don't recall saying ALL teachers everywhere are like this. I think this is one part of a larger piece that is wrong with our educational system, & the future of our country.

Do you have any examples of teachers at private schools misrepresenting their abilities to land a job?

I'll be happy with one.

How much should we blame your teachers for you deliberately lying in your adulthood about a teenager who was murdered in his car by a closet gun-toting sociopath because his music was playing loudly?

See your quote? That's a generalization. You are extrapolating from a few people in an article to a group: public school teachers. If you did not intend to do so, you should have worded your thoughts more clearly.

If you think there are no individuals teaching at private schools who lied to get their job, you are incredibly naive. But it IS hard to prove that for one important reason: private schools, unlike public schools, are not mandated to use Praxis nor do they have to report either their results or those instances when they do find someone cheating. But if you want to believe that means it never happens, have a shiny happy life.

Brother, you just can't stay on topic can you. You're straight out of the socialist playbook. When someone presents something you don't like or can't refute, just change the subject and lie.

No one claimed he shot over loud music. In every article it says he shot because he was threatened when the teens pulled a shotgun on him.

Yes, that quote which you took completely out of context from the entire post & the other posts I've made.

If private schools don't use the tests, how can people cheat on them? Do you use a shred of common sense?
