What player is first on your draft list, please explain why this is the player you want on your team, and not on the other side.

Who's the greatest player of all time?

Need I say more? You have the man to run the ball and catch the ball from the backfield. Build the defense after him.......to stop the opponents offense.

Amazing, Walter would be my first choice too, he was able, and more importantly WILLING to do whatever the team needed. He'd probably be a nasty linebacker as well.

Walter Payton Baby!!!

He was the greatest running back of all time.

Joe Montana as QB. With those two on my team, we could get around any defensive line, even the 85 Bears!

Not that I ever came close to seeing him play...

But I'd pick Sammy Baugh. The player of the 40s.

Aside from being the NFL's first "great" quarterback, he's also the all-time leader in punting. Not to mention a pretty damn good defensive back. In one season, he led the league in passing, punting, and interceptions! He put up Joe Montana/Steve Young type of numbers in an era when most quarterbacks competed 35 percent of their passes.

He's also one of the most colorful personalities the NFL has ever produced... and still going strong in his 80s!

Just speaking up for the "old-timers" out there! God, I read too much...
