The beginning of August is always hot, but this year seems hotter than usual. The forty 9 and 10 year old boys running around on the field under the guidance of the coaches almost seem to not notice the heat.
Looking around at the other parents surrounding the field, one can tell that it's hot though, whether its parents fanning themselves, drinking cold water, sweating as they stand still, or talking about the heat.
As you look around, you can also see that the parents of the team come from all walks of life. You have the dads who used to play football in high school or maybe even in college who are being rough on their boys, you have the dads who never played football but are even rougher on their sons, the dads who want the boys to have a good time. You also see moms who are yelling at their sons to run faster or work harder, the cheerleader moms who still look like the perky cheerleaders they were in high school, the working moms who are picking their sons up after work still wearing their business clothes.
OOC: Let's have some fun with this, we need people to play moms and dads of young boys playing football. You can be almost anyone you want to be, the common denominator is our boys, they've brought us together, but now let's make this a unique community because the parents play as much as the boys, just not football. We can have discrete encounters between two people, there could be group encounters, or even couples could "relive" high school memories.

Intense, but not scarily so about how the team does
