Ginger
“Hi Jackson.” I replied as I heard Jackson’s voice. “It’s Ginger Blaze.” I said calmly, but there was a flicker of urgency beneath it. “It was good meeting you today. You seem like a decent guy—smart, observant. That’s why I’m reaching out.”
I paused, letting the silence settle before continuing. “Now, before you say yes or hang up, just hear me out. I’m going to be straight with you. I work for the FBI. I’m deep into an undercover assignment, and things are getting complicated.”
My tone sharpened. “I’m investigating the disappearance of a young woman—Kara Weeks. She was last seen at that studio. I saw how Jill was cozying up to you, and I figured… maybe you’re in a position to hear things. Things I can’t.”
“I’m not asking you to do anything reckless. Nothing illegal. Nothing that’ll get you fired. I just need you to keep your ears open. If you hear anything—anything at all—about Kara Weeks, I want you to come to me.”
She let the weight of it settle. “If your tip leads us to her, I’ll make sure you’re compensated. Ten grand. No strings. Just information.”
Another pause. “So… can I count on you, Jackson?”
