Buried on page 5!!

Good morning Fellow Floridians! Whew! Thought I'd never find this thread. We were far behind Georgia even. It must be that as Floridains we're too mellow to keep it going? That or because we have such beautiful weather we try and keep silent about it so that we're not inundated by everyone escaping the cold.
Well, I'm checking in from down south and it looks to be another day in Paradise! :nana:
I come from where the rivers meet the sea
That's part of why I'm so wild and fancy free
I was early into crazy ways
My folks said, "It's just a phas"
They were hoping for better days

Now in my line of work I seem to see a lot more than most
Write 'em down, pas 'em around
It's the gospel from the coast
Reflections, not just replays
Takin' time to escape the maze
Lookin' for better days

I spent a year of my life one night
On the beaches in old Beirut
Seems that all they're aimin' for there
Is to hang around and shoot
Each others' lives away
Bloody winds on a distant bay
they're lookin' for better days

Looking to the left, looking to the right
Looking to the stars to shed some light
Hoping for a breath, hoping for break
Hopin' for the give without the take

The dreamers line the state road
Just to watch the runway show
Slouched behind their steering wheels
They just watch the big jets go
Streakin' through the morning haze
Focal point of a distant gaze
Lookin' for better days

Pale invaders and tanned crusaders
Are worshipping the sun
On the corner of "walk" and "don't walk"
Somewhere on US 1

I'm back to livin' Floridays
Blue skies and ultra-violet rays
Lookin' for better days

I'm back to livin' Floridays
Blue skies and ultra-violet rays
Lookin' for better days, lookin' for better days
Lookin' for Floridays

Better days, better days
Everybody's lookin' for better days
Somewhere beneath the shining star
Better days, mon't you take me to better days
Better days, I sure could use a few better days
Floridays

Is that the only thing drenched??
Just returned from the beach and here's the weather report according to kym for South Fla.
Partly sunny, with a slight chance of rain (but don't bet on it), Winds outa the East, Northeast at 15, gusting up to 20 mph. Hard as a bitch to ride my bike into...:p
Seas 3-5, slightly higher in the Gulfstream. Not a day to take the kiddies to the beach unless you're looking to be chasing them out of the water, we also have bacteria warnings so maybe it would be a better day for the pool or mall.
Nothing else much going on but a bunch of buzzards hanging in the sand. I'm not talking about our geriatric population but real buzzards! Guess they're there to surf the wind currents, or wait for those geriatrics to make it down to the beach.
So grab up your towels, sunscreen, and cooler and meet me down at the North end away from all of the tourists and lifeguards and we'll have a great time in the sand and surf! :D

-kym- Your South Fla. beach reporter

Gooood Morning!!

Greetings inhabitants of the Evil Rat's Kingdom and Realm!
Its time for kym's South Fla. beach and boating report....
Today is expected to be mostly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 80's. and lows in the mid 70's. The tan factor, or burn factor(for all of those who do so) is set at about a 5.
Seas are 1-2 feet and the surf temp is around 76 degrees. Visability is several yards, just have to watch out for all of the turtle grass that can poke you in the eye. Speaking of which; for all of you anglers, patches of live sargassum are floating in, so there should be nice weed lines to be found offshore for those wahoo and dolphin. Lots of bait to be found along the shore as well and can be netted without difficulty.
That's your beach, boating, sunning, fishing, and general bullshit information for today. Now its time for me to shove off and brown some skin!
Sea Ya!

-kym- returning to the sun

Anyone near Kendall/Miami interested in hooking up? PM me or email me details....panzerfaust@bellsouth.net

Come on people!!!!

Put down those margaritas and joints and RESPOND!! Would Ya??!

-kym- am i the only one who is awake in Florida??!

NW Florida signing in

Upon leaving Utah and heading back home to Ft. Walton Bch., I couldn't wait to spend many lazy hours in the sun baking the bod and pickling the brain. Sunshine State?? Liquid sunshine maybe. I am reminded of March along the northern Gulf Coast....crested rivers, closed bridges, impassible backroads....sigh!! At least the pickling of the brain is in full swing.
Beertender!!! Margaritas for all!!!:D
Enjoy!

:rose: :rose: :rose:
On a more serious note! I would like everyone to thank whatever higher power they thank in situations like this for the miraculous return of Elizabeth Smart. I was one of the 8000 who searched the mountains in the days following her kidnapping. She's alive!! Totally cool, totally unexpected.

Dance partner needed....

I am literally looking for a dance partner in the Melbourne,Florida area.....not a sweet heart or lover...I already have one of those..:) I love mambo and would like to dance more often, I will teach any woman how or a couple, I would like to form a group that regularly gets together to share dancing and socializing some as well.

If you have not tried it let me introduce you to it, mambo is magic.

Ahhh, the sexy number from Dirty Dancing. ;)

Hi John! No, I don't live in that area, but the thought of learning how to do that dance is intriguing. I wonder if Soron would be game? :D

Many of the dances are sexy, it is the intereaction of partners that really sets it off, when it is between lovers....look out:)
Mambo has a sense that gives the male a powerful quality and the woman a sensual sexy one. I look forward to teaching whspr when we finally get together.

When you and Soron are here sometime I will be glad to teach you.
:)

So this is where everyone's be hiding!!

Hello to all! I'm located in the highly confused city of Pensacola where they want to put a convention center next door to a sewage treatment plant. Can you say "P U?" You know the seasons change by watching the Snowbirds and Spring Breakers. But they all drive like idiots.
If the are any fellow Panhandlers (that sounds REAL bad) in here gimme a shout. And I do have a story posted.:nana:

How far is Melbourne from Tampa? *giggles* Probably too far to visit in a day trip, but we are headed down to visit Soron at the end of the month, when my daughter is on spring break. I'm looking forward to some warm weather, sunshine and some sand between the toes!

I know you and whspr will have a wonderful time when you do finally meet. Be forewarned that it's even harder to stay apart once you've had that first kiss, that first tango... I didn't think that we'd see each other again until summertime, but the opportunity presented itself and I jumped at the chance. We're not getting any younger, so every day that we can spend together is truly a gift.

:rose:

PS. My sister and her husband took ballroom dancing lessons for nearly a year before their wedding... you wouldn't believe beautiful they looked dancing together at their reception.
