I can totally understand that EK, it's so hot here, the worms on the sidewalk are petriFRIED, and the dust is devilish. We are under a severe fire warning due to drought.

Fortunately, the weather will be changing a bit to bring in some nice soaking storms. UNFORTUNATELY, the clouds are super-cells with sever thunder and lightning expected. Lightning isn't a good thing when you are in a drought situation!

I've had the A/C on since February I believe!

I reckon it's time to unplug the computer so it doesn't get blasted. I lost a T.V. about 3 weeks ago even with a surge blaster/protector!

Everything is brown here and the grass crunches when you walk across it. You can see small patches of charred grass along the roads where careless smokers tossed their lit cigarette butts out the windows. Very scary.

On the plus side, I can now sit out back in my swimsuit, sipping iced tea and not worrying about the neighbors thinking me crazy

The beach is vastly over-rated. With the sea lice that are in the water right now, I'll float in the pool instead! I could drive south about 20 miles and get away from the little buggers, but think I'll just enjoy the cement pond instead.

No sea lice in my area, but we do have an occasional out break of red tide. And if you wanna talk about something nasty...

We have a fair number of lakes and rivers nearby that we can avoid the entire beach experience if we choose to.

Yea.. I've heard 'bout ya'll's red tide. they get that down in the Keys too, I believe.whilst we don't have that, we are now getting algea blooms on our reefs that foul the waters . Man and his pollution!
