Somehow I feel that I am not quite connecting with this thread... :confused:
 
I'm here as long as I wanna be. Yeah my avs are the fad right now that'll go by and by and I'll be original again ;)

Am I the only one who hates Tiramisu?

I think it's the texture I can't get past. That spongy cake-like substance, and what's in between? Is that supposed to be custard?

The Italians have failed me with this one.
 
I like to think of myself as heartburn. Ever-present but usually just sorta muttering annoyingly in the background.
 
I got a series of exclamation points...Does that mean I'm a flavour of the month?

And Rubyfruit, the texture is the best part. The subtle incorrectness of the combination can't be beat. Well, it can and probably has...but I like it anyway.

(It may have been a bit presumptuous of me to claim multiple weeks :confused: )

What I don't like about Tiramisu is the mouth feel of the whipped cream. Not that I don't like whipped cream, but that much of it just coats the tongue and leaves me craving something acidic.

I don't know freaky...just being a flavor of the night is already too much pressure for me. Add in the judgement aspect and that would just leave me quivering with fear...or something like that.

I agree.

Basically, as a dessert, it sucks.

Creme Brule could kick it's ass anyday.
 
Virgin pina coladas make good desserts.
Pastries are actually more than liquid chocolate are nice as well.

Ruby, it's like the one item thrown into the catalog to make everything else look reasonable, the so-called exception to prove the rule! They probably sit in the kitchen making it up chucking too, telling each other how funny it is that just because it has an Italian name people figure it must be good.
