I have a nice comfy in my room that my landlord game to me for free. yay! it came with a cover but unfortunately the material the cover is made from is pretty frail. at the end of both the arm rests holes are developing. On the right arm, the hole is pretty bad. the left arm will end up going that way sooner or later. I've been thinking about ways to fix these before they get any worse but I thought i'd come to you guys for more help since i'm a male and so useless at these sort of things. So far i've come up with getting some thick heavy duty thread and sewing the gap shut. or even stapling it! so any suggestions are welcome :)

Edited, cause I re-read your question. Iron on patch will work fine. You can find varying sizes at any fabric store.

Duct tape the ends and then nail a cup holder into each end. Turn your comfy chair into something useful: a dedicated beer-drinking station. For a two-fisted drinker, of course. :D

beer's nasty :p but i might put some cup holders in for other stuff. or maybe a cup holder in one arm and a remote control type thing in the other so i never lose it? I can fix it so I can control my tv, hifi, pc, windows and lights from the same chair :nana:
