Best lube is a matter of opinion. Try different ones to see what you like best. I personally like silicone lube, as it doesn't dry out halfway through like water-based lube. (No oil-based lubes in the vagina, FYI.)

Gloves are also a matter of preference. However, the skin will absorb some of the lube, where gloves will not. So if you want a slicker surface to slide inside her, gloves are better.
