First thing you learned to cook?

Spaghetti marinara! Long before I got the bug for cooking, my mum taught me some kitchen basics and some simple recipes, and I believe this was the first.

First time in adulthood you failed an exam?

But, to answer her question... I'd passively inhaled pot a fair few times, but probably the only time I've had anything directly was last year, at a friend's, and I had one puff on a spliff before deciding it was as disgusting as regular cigarettes.

I never failed an exam in adulthood. I was a good student in college and in grad school. Maybe my vision test in my right eye.

There's a few different levels of drink for me that are memorable.

First time was when I went out drinking with the boys, had no idea what I was doing and they were loading me up on double southern comfort and cokes. I still can't drink that

In high school. I got drunk AND high for the first time on the same night. I couldn't drive home, so a friend drove my car and another followed in hers. My dad was waiting up for me and saw us switch cars and asked me why someone else was driving my car. I told him I didn't know what he was talking about and went to bed. He didn't mention it again.

ETA: sorry Aussie! First heartbreak was my first boyfriend moving away at 15 and promising to stay in touch, but didn't.

I haven't. I've always had some form of roommate. I mean, I had the house to myself during deployments, but I don't think that counts.

Told at show and tell that my dad had Cat Scratch Fever. He didn't. I thought it sounded cool though. Teacher called my mom to check on him.

Easily...and it was a very long time ago....a trip to Lake Tahoe to stay at the cabin of my then girlfriend (had been since high school). After a few days and nights of fun, frivolity, and lots of sex, she informed me she wanted to break up. We were kind of "off again on again" anyhow, since we were attending college in separate cities, but always eagerly got together as often as we could.

In any event, it was the "worst vacation" because she is still the "one who got away"...."the one I will never get over".
