Fun, not as heavy as I expected, which frankly disappointed me a little. Still very enjoyable, though.

I met Eugenides and I nearly creamed my panties...But I agree, it wasn't extremely heavy.

I liked virgin suicides better... middlesex was just missing something for me. A book of that lenght and premise I guess I just expected a few more postmodern flurishes.

btw, anyone reading the new pynchon?

middlesex

ohemgee, i LOVELOVELOVELOVE that book.
i just finished it, like, last week.
how much did you love it?

there's actually a documentary called middlesex, about the respect that transgendered people get in india and asia and why they don't get any here.
and whether or not your sexual preference is something you can help choosing or not.
you should look into watching it, if you enjoyed the thought concept of the book.

btw: the object? *sigh*

I never read the Virgin Suicides but it's on my list once I get the chance to read for pleasure again *sigh* I did get to hear some of the book Eugenides is currently writing..and the piece I heard was very amusing.

lol well I did have to read it for a class so that sucked a bit of my love from it, but it was still a great read and I didn't sell my copy of the book back :)

sounds like a cool documentary, too.

it was amazing, there are these people in asia reffered to as "ladyboys" and they are the highest social rung. it's an amazing thing.

it also shows the studys that the dutch are doing to figure out if your sexual preference is decided when you are still in the womb, if it's brain chemistry or your own doings.

and i love the book.
one of the few i bought in hardback.
but then again, i love that author. he did "the virgin suicides" as well. fantastic.

fall in!!!!!!

I'm an English major. Probably pre-law.

atten...............shun!!!!!!!!!

by eck lass, tha knows tha a reet stunner, a reet good looking lass

hows that for some northern monkey speach for you AFS?

you must be aware of all the diverse accents we english have, i am from the north west, the lake district area, so i do not speak like hugh 'i am such a fucking wanker' grant

being a manchester lad by birth i can at times sound like one of the gallagher brothers, and when i go to manchester i only have to be their for 5 minutes before the 'manc' twang comes out

but for me, personally, a preston accent, which is lancashire accent and a jordie accent on a girl are so sexy

there tha goes lass, tha learnt summat new

go ta fooot toff awe stairs

lol

flat caps and whippets

great pics, only seen about thirty so far, but i need to go and sort out my own little major out lol

It's funny that there are so many different accents in England (and all of Great Britain, really) when you consider its size. England itself is about the size of say, Wisconsin (unless I am seriously mistaken) and yet there aren't that many different accents within Wisconsin.

But I'm a fan of any British accent. Though I must say that an accent that is still understandable is preferable haha

And for the record, I don't think Hugh Grant is anything special lol

I'm sure that there's a way to make that statement into a mathematical equation. Thank God I can't remember how.

I've been collecting FF miles, and without a single addition to the mile high club! The upside is that spring is just around the corner (wishful) so work will be returning closer to home soon!

I can tell you that the closer to the floor they are, the further away from the floor my dick gets, itbecomes correlative at times. And then I had to check that I spelled correlative correctly, because you're that girl! :)
