I picked Christian on a religious identification profile for the first time this week. I wasn't raised with a religion. We celebrated Christmas and Easter but with no mention of religion. I used to think it would be wrong to check Christian since I'm not really a believer (I'm a pan-theist universe worshiper to be exact). However, I identify more and more with the Christian heritage as time goes bye.

The fact it pisses off the liberals and atheists makes it imperitive to do so. Its important to make a cultural statement and defend the traditional majority faith of western man.

yeah, no one cares about you lying yet again about everything. you're a cunt. it is known.

The military does it best I think.

No Pref.

After I'm gone I don't care what ceremony other people use to remember me by. And while I'm here I'm not going to abide by tenants which most who claim to adhere to them can't remember. Or practice.

Why would it piss of atheists? If anything, it should piss off real Christians that a heathen tries to charade as one of them out of silly spite.

Well!

Many paths indeed to the final road.

Declaring it on a porn board makes it official.

'Non' or 'None' is the only ethical choice.

It's just plain silly for grown ups to identify as members of any cult, no matter the worldwide memberships.

And yes, I just said that ALL 'religions' are cults and that being (or claiming to be) a member of any is silly.

I told my recruiter that I was an Atheist.

He checked off Southern Baptist. I never got the chance to correct the record and never lived it down. That nomenclature followed me to every post...

That applies equally well to the religion of GlowBall Warning...

However, when it comes to religion, believing leads to a shared morality that is more healthy to a society than the tone that you take, the moral relativism of Nihilism. My wife is a devout Christian and I never fault her for it. Most all of our friends are Christians and they work tirelessly in this community and in Haiti to assist those in need and in times of catastrophe, be it tornado, hurricane or earthquake.

So you reckon that although you are not a Christian or any other form of 'cultist,' you are unaffected by the Judeo/Christian ethics which impacted your upbringing?

You don't have to believe in any prevalent religion, but will still be subject to its cultural and ethical values, whether you like it or not. :)

Western Civilization is intricately intertwined with Christianity. It could be argued that we are all Christian, that the basic building blocks of our thinking and cognition is all rooted in Christianity.

I love listening to Jordan Peterson talk about Christianity. It's his specialty.

Nope. I ain't into Judo neither. Nor any of that other Asian Martian artist crap.

Speaking as a 56M Chaplain's Assistant, that's a really easy fix. Shouldn't have been an issue.

So the OP is saying he's Christian to upset people. I'm sure 'god' is very happy about that.

But he fits right in with the rest of the faithless frauds looking for a supremacist group to join

So you are just like your hero Alex Jones. A nut job just playing a character.

" First time I ever identified as a Christian "

Not real until you have oppressed someone openly who is different.
