I know this has nothing to do with GLBT but some people here do not post on the GB.

I need a big hug and a hankie

My first nephew was born yesterday. They had to take him C-Section then rush him to a childrens hospital for surgery. His intestines were born on the outside. MY heart hurts and I am in tears for this innocent butterfly. I thought this was suppose to be a happy day:(

Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry, Luv! That's one of the saddest things I've ever heard. I hope that you post us again with updates, if you can, and I hope the best for you, your nephew, and the mother. :rose:

Overcome with emotions here. I have never met you or chatted with you before. But I feel for you.

Know that this person will be thinking of the little one for you.

My heart and my prayers go out to you, your family and your nephew.

Oh my!! EL no words could comfort you at this time. No child deserves to go thru that. My thoughts and prayers go out to your nephew, you and the family. And I sincerely hope everything turns out for the best. I don't know you but ~BIG HUGZ~ to you!

Sweet

My thoughts are with your family. I'm sure your nephew will come out of all this just fine. :rose:

Thank you all

The little guy made it through the surgery and is hanging on strong. Still a candle burns for him, he is not out of danger yet. They are going to keep him for a week at the hospital.

What is really hard about this is my brother and I are not speaking. I am getting all the info second hand from my mom. All I want to do is wrap my arms around him and let him know everything is going to be alright. Thinking about calling. The wrost he can do is hang up.

Wonderful news. I'm just so sure he'll be just fine. ;) :rose:

As for the call to your brother ... nothing ventured, nothing gained.

That's great to hear. At least the first step is complete. I hope the little guy hangs in there.

And calling your brother sounds like a good idea. He may hang up, but even if he does, it's good to show that you're really concerned and he'll probably appreciate it even if he doesn't act like he does. Good luck, hon. :rose:

El honey, I really think something like this may be the chance to get past some of the other issues with your family...and if not you know that you expressed your love and concern. Take care my friend and know there are candles burning for your nephew.

Your thoughts and prayers are so appreciated.

I was given an update on his condition. It is good but still critical. I did not fully understand the severity of his condition. He was born with no muscle tissue of skin over his stomach region. They are having to do skin graphs and muscle reconstruction. He is so lucky to be alive. He is going to be in the hospital a longer than a week I found out. As long as he gets better.

I did speak with my brother and he would like for PJ and I to come down for support:) So friday we are leaving to see the baby and family.

The great news is that he's hanging in there. That is wonderful news. He sounds like a tough kid. ;) :rose:

EL--I've been watching the other thread waiting for an update on your nephew. It's too bad that it can take something like this to bring families back together but it so awesome that you and PJ are going to be where you belong. Pulling together as a family for the little guy and supporting each other.

have a safe trip and I'll be sending good vibes and prayers out for all of you.
keith

ps and if the little guy has any of the same blood in him as you, I know he'll be fine 'cause he's got to be one strong, seriously alright little fellow.

waiting for quinn to get here. pj knows what that means.

Oh my! For one that young to have to endure such hardship and pain coming into this world...lighting extra candles and sending every spare healing vibe I have.

As for the family situation...I felt the opportunity for healing there as soon as you messaged me about it. For that I am jumping up and down in happiness for you and PJ!!! Karma works in such mysterious ways sometimes, but work it does. :)

Have a safe trip and keep us up to speed when you can. :rose:

I hope that everything works out for you, your nephew and your family.

All things can't be bright,
But it's certainly true,
There was never a cloud the sun didn't shine through.
:)

All of you are so wonderful and caring.

69, gyps,pookie, and KM~ A Special Thank You

My mom is down there and has taken a lot of the worry away. I trust what she says. She says,
"It is not as bad as it sounds, and it is a common birth defect."

PJ and I have decided to wait a while to go see the baby. He is still in the hospital with tubes in him and in a lot of pain. Will not even be able to hold him if we did go.

If you burned a candle for the little guy keep it going please. I will have one lit for him till he gets out.

His birth present from his Aunts will be a Natal Birth Chart. I have to chuckle a little. My brother is going to have a big awakening with this little boy. For he is going to be a little like his Aunt *snicker*. When exploring my own Natal Chart I found that I am a Aquarius instead of a Pisces. My birth Time and Date fall on one of those odd times when you are not born to the right birth sign, but the one before or after. Hope he is ready for this.:)

If candles were allowed in my dorm, I would keep one burning. Is it okay to have one burning emotionally?
