yeah, it's trump signature move--if your honesty contradicts his story, then you become a target of his ire

birx speaks out about the virus' spread and the underlying dangers because of that... trump calls her "pathetic" for "attacking us"

The US has the world’s largest number of cases at 4.6m, or one-quarter of the global total, and 154,361 deaths. Black, Latino and Native communities are experiencing a disproportionate number of deaths, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

But Trump said on Monday morning that it wasn’t the dismal figures which prompted Birx’s assessment, but Pelosi’s criticism. “In order to counter Nancy, Deborah took the bait & hit us. Pathetic!” Trump tweeted.

her eyes speak volumes in that pic

i've long thought birx was an enabler of trump's inaction on the virus by watering down the urgency and not promoting the hard truth enough; i was also frustrated with fauci at times but understand both were trying to keep their jobs in the task force to at least get the basics of the message out. but as scientists, truth must out. the message must be delivered in a clear, thoughtful, informed manner in order to best place the public to be able to do what needs doing to protect themselves and others.

It's much past time for Brix to stop trying to suck up to the administration and to go full honest. She should have backed Fauci a long time ago. She's already complicit in killing people through a mealy-mouthed presentation of the extent of the threat and the need to ignore Trump's nonsense on everything.

Pelosi is right to call her on her complicity.

absolutely.

fauci and birx are said to have been friends for 30 years, but she's a political animal, a different breed, according to fauci, who likens his own presence at some of the meetings as a skunk in the room for his honesty

This thinness of Trump's skin is ... something. Birx's comment that seems to have set him off was as mild an acknowledgment of our current awful situation as you could imagine.

She's going to be the latest to learn the hard lesson: loyalty goes one way for this president.

Yes, this was where I started having enough of her. She claimed he was her mentor and she knows both the science of this and the nonsense of Trump and friends as well as Fauci does. I started viewing her as a snake a long time ago.
