First Ever Crime and Punishment Story Event - Official Support Thread

Yes, that was back in the day where an actor or actress had something about them that drew audiences. Lee Marvin was always Lee Marvin, but he was Lee Marvin in different situations, and it sold tickets. Lee Marvin in Cat Ballou was hilarious! a big departure from his many tough guy roles, but he was still Lee Marvin. My all-time favorite movie and my all-time favorite Christmas Movie is and always will be Donovan's Reef - two classic tough guys in a comedy. John Ford grabbed a bunch of friends, sailed his yacht to Hawaii and said, "Let's have a party and shoot a movie together."

Just to be clear on the rules of Crime and Punishment - there must be a crime, but is punishment also required? and if it is, is it required for that particular crime? or can it be a kink used to spice up a slow Wednesday evening?

I imagine punishment is needed due to it being in the title of the event. As far as does it need to be punishment fits the crime, or can be totally out there I imagine is up to the author.

Unfortunately, I see this event leading down the path of a lot of nasty N/C or BTB types of scenarios. Maybe not so much from the people who post here, but once its on the page and other authors see it.

I have some things that could fit, my issue is getting them more sexed up because as they stand now they're more action or horror than erotic

Is adultery still a crime in some states, or in Muslim countries? Maybe the crime is a misdemeanor. I used crime(minor) as the theme in my six-part series, The Covid-19 Citation. The crimes: speeding, disobeying the governor's mandatory masking law, and corrupt cops coercing victims into sexual situations. Of course all of them were eventually willing participants. No prosecution was involved, but a bit of corporal punishment was used.

It's crime in the Jewish faith. Well, a sin which can get you an unfavorable Ghet, just ask my first husband about that. As to being out and out illegal, I think there are few states with laws still on the book. Interesting tidbit, in the late 1870, in the state of Arkansas, one Deputy US Marshal was shot and killed by another Deputy US Marshal as the second marshal attempted to arrest the first for adultery. Hey I bet there's a story in that!

See a lot of that. Not sure if its Hollywood thinking, okay, this guy is great in this mold so let's keep him in it. Or maybe the actor is completely one dimensional like a lot of action stars.

Pesci did play a lot of other roles, usually comedic, and I enjoyed him in all of them. The Mob movies were a departure for him, and for whatever reason he was the same guy in all of them.

In nearly every state, the crime of adultery is ignored and unenforced. I suppose if a husband or wife pressed the matter to the police or the DA, they might act on it. I doubt it, but in fiction, everything is possible and reasonable (if we need it to be.)

Sure, adultery being a crime, such a story would qualify for this exercise, but I would think it would be a waste for this theme. Adultery stories are a dime a dozen and basic fodder daily at Literotica. I would think folks could do more of a stretch than that to respond to this exercise.

I'm 5'8 and 168-175 depending on summer or winter. Came up hard and nasty and at this point have 40 years of Martial arts behind me. The best weapon for me was always being underestimated, Having a dead red temper and mile wide mean streak never hurt. I live in small state a few fights earned me a reputation

I say all this because sometimes people need to realize that when they're telling you all about what they hear and see, there are people who are living examples.

One on one I'll go with anyone and like my chances. But that isn't how bar and street fighting works and now they'll just whip out whatever they're carrying and shoot your big mouthed ass.

I lost two uncles to bullets in the backs of their heads from the oh so tough mafia back when my family ran afoul of them(that's why they went after me in the ACI, my name) so pardon my undying contempt for them in Hollywood and real life.

My father lost a friend in a fight outside a bar. A tough-as-nails boxer, lightweight, busted the guy's ass to hell and back, turned to go back inside, and was stabbed by the loudmouth's fuck-head buddy. Got him right in the liver, twisting the knife and yanking it up before he pulled it out. The people there said my dad's friend bleed out in less than a minute. The only good thing was the other guy got 20 to life and got shived in prison by someone.

I agree. It seems counter to the spirit of the challenge. I mean, why not just write any old fuck story, set in the 60s and have the couple smoke a joint, if all you want to do is slip in on a technicality?

For a hitman (or street fighter) to face his victim would imply they cared enough to "instill fear" in their victim (the Hollywood way), and that would require an emotion of caring about it. The bullet to the back of the head or the knife in the back is the emotionless and most efficient way to ensure a successful job.

If you're into martial arts, you probably claim anyone with a gun is a coward and isn't fighting "fair". LOL. The quick draw champ would call you stupid for taking boxing gloves to a gunfight. It's all in the tools of the trade.

But, yes, Hollywood glamorizes everything. That's what THEY do for a living.

The only way the crime of adultery would be appropriate would be if there were a major crime also involved. As an example, Bound had two women committing adultery on the husband of one, who was a gangster. They framed him for a major crime against his employers (the Mafia) of millions of dollars stolen from those bosses. In the end, the boss of bosses gives them his blessing, and they drive away, with the poor saps money, into the sunset and lost of lesbian bumping nasty in the hot nights of some paradise.

Hey, that could make a great reimaging by some lesbian on here. Hum, who do we know that's a lesbian writer here?

Option 1: each author writes one chapter then passes it on to the next. These went to Chain Stories, but I don't know if that's still active.

Option 2: one author posts it under their account but acknowledges it as a collab.

As I've already noted, I don't think Laurel will permit this if she sees it happening. I don't think the same version of a story can be posted to more than one account here. If it could, folks could open multiple accounts themselves to duplicate their stories and post them to multiple categories.

If anyone thinks this is permitted here, please cite examples.
