Someone informed me the other night that after my fireplay scene i shouldn't be flogged. His reasoning was that the skin was thinner and more apt to break after fireplay.

Has anyone else ever heard of this? Have you heard of other types of play that shouldn't be combined?

I imagine it would best to use caution when giving a flogging after play, but I don't know.

I was just hopping in here to say, "welcome to the forum"

*warm smiles*

:)

Thank you, Miss Taken, for the kind welcome. It's good to find a place with like-minded people to bounce questions off of.

First off,...welcome to the Forum Ina,...please call me Art.

Though I have never done fire play,...it does seem to be a reasonable caution one might need to consider. Some of the more experienced people will be able to answer your question I think. :rose:

Thank you for replying, Art, and for the welcome.

I'm looking forward to learning from and sharing with the other members here.

Mmm interesting thoughts. I kinda have a hard time believing that the skin would be thinner. Unless you are taking skin off during your fireplay. But if you are doing that, then you would have to be burning it off layer by layer. I think there are few humans that could endure that. That's basically like be set on fire and left to burn. I'm probably assuming a little bit here since I know only a little bit about fireplay. But I doubt you just set someone on fire and let them burn.

So the thinner skin arguement doesn't really hold water for me. If anything, I would think the heat might make the skin more tender for a while. Possibly make the pores more open, and thereby make the skin more stretchy. This might be what he was getting at... that it's more stretchy and can get thinner as it is being flogged. As the flogger is hitting the skin, it pulls the skin slighty, thereby stretching it... and possibly cutting it. Possibility? Maybe.

Like others have mentioned, I would proceed with caution, but I don't think it's something that can't be done. As with all things, caution is the key word.

Just my 2 cents... hope that helps.
