Because as I said...I hate it with my job. It just creates problems for us. I myself at home use IE. I'm Canada, so we don't hear of the new things normally, because it's all the same to me. As long as my net works, I don't care.

beggin for problems eh? Must be some really great company you work for.

I use IE only for this site....using FF, when I click on a link to open a pic, it always asks me what program I want to use and then it leaves a blank FF window open and opens my photo viewer ACDSee. I have actually done research on this and it is doing this becasue of the version of vBullettin that this site uses. I have even talked to some developers at Mozilla and they confirmed this. Anyone else have that problem here? I can go to other forums and open pics just fine but not here.
Other than that FF is awesome. But i am partial because that or mozilla is all I have ever used. UNIX nerd here.

Same here.I just changed to FF and I really like it.Much faster than IE. I can deal with the extra windows when surfing this site.Other than that,no problems at all with FF.Plus Google is built in!!!

I'm trying out Firefox. I'm not sure if I like it or not, but I'm giving it a try.

I loathe all the spyware from I.E. and all the problems it has, but I'm not sure if Firefox is my answer yet. :)

meatwhistler... whatever browser you're using, if you have a spyware issue, i'd suggest getting spybot search and destroy. run it every week or so (depending on how much at risk you are) and you'll see a huge improvement.

i've been using FF for quite a while and my spyware has been drastically reduced. i'm lucky if i get one piece every 2-3 weeks. i don't know if that's because norton's gotten better or because of FF. either way i'm glad it's a non-issue.

Holy crap! I thought that was just me! I have the EXACT same issue.

I have the same problem and it eventually reached the stage that I've canned FF for the time being and returned to IE.

Actually I work for a great company...it's the people using the internet what the problem really is.

You're right, and i'm surprised that no one at moz knew of and told you the work around. The obvious one is that this site upgrades away from this current old version of vbulletin to a better version. It's currently at some pre-3 version (can't tell since they won't show what version they are at at the bottom) and most, but not all versions pre-3 are vulnerable to this behavior. Also, all pre3 versions are not very safe as far as hackers and the such either, but that's up to the owners to decide if they want to continue to run an outdated version. In the meantime, alls you have to do is install the extension User Agent Switcher and you're good to go. What that does is adds a feature to your "tools" menu. Next time you come here and the attachments do not open in a new window, click on tools, then user agent, then change the setting to IE6, then refresh. The attachments from then on should open correctly. Just remember to change the setting back to default when done or else when you go to other site such as yahoo mail (only one I can think of) things will be screwy. By default, the extension will revert back to "default" when you close all instances of FF, but is easy enought to just continue on surfing from here and forget about it, so just be aware of it.

i switched to ff and i love it and now even better that this agent switcher update

i'm a mozilla girl all the way. i like it for the name alone...

started using firefox and like it better for most things, including here. still use explorere for a few sites that I found twitchy with firefox

I use Mozillla Firefox for internet searches and Deepnet Explorer for streaming videos.

Ah, thanks for reminding me, Xectxny19X - I do use IE for something. I can't be bothered to download Flash for Firefox, for two reasons. First, I have dialup, so downloading the application would be a drag. Second, not having Flash installed on Firefox makes pages render faster if they have unnecessary Flash that I don't want to see. But if I do want to see the Flash...that's when I open up IE.

At work I use Netscape 7, because that's the only tabbed browser I can use at work.
