Fingers only...

Ladies, I'd love to hear your tips on how you get off with just your fingers. I can't get all the way there without my vibrator, which is annoying when I don't have it!

I guess it would be much easier for you to find a dick than for me to find a pussy?

Do you prefer your clit being rubbed side to side? Back and forth? Circles?
I would like to know...purely for scientific research.

Definitely circles here too, sometimes rubbing slowly on either side of the clitoris hood, then going back to circling my clit.

I always lie face down, and use a bit of baby oil or something. Then I close my eyes and think of something horny: something we've done recently, a porn scene, or a fantasy (usually FF becoming FFM, or MM fantasies) and away I go!

PM me...we live close!;)

One thing I always hear when this question comes up is that frequent vibrator use can gradually desensitize you and make it more difficult to get off without it. So you might try going without it (I know, I know!) for a few weeks and then try again with fingers only.

I find when I just use my fingers to masturbate focusing on the clit works better. While clit orgasms don't last as long as g-spot ones they can take the edge off at least. Like others said a circular motion is good but just taking my index or middle finger and rubbing the clit up and down, varying the speed and pressure works like a charm. If you have fingernails you can also lightly scratch or scrape the clit. Works for me just about everytime in under 10 mins.

I've never used a vibrator, I always use fingers. I prefer to just rub myself, while imagining a scene, then when I'm really wet and ready, I play with my clit. Circles, or just touching it if I want to draw it out a bit, but when I want to get off fast, I start flicking it, side to side, imagining it's a tongue, or someone else doing it. Always leads to a shuddering orgasm!

(this is my first message here - a bit nervous!)

Hi Likeable welcome to Lit. Don`t be nervous we`re all here for the same thing - to have some fun. I hope you enjoy it here.

I definitely only use my vibes as fun additions to masturbation and use my fingers as my primary method of getting off - and sometimes can ONLY get off with my fingers. We all have different reactions to things, but for me, I'll tease my pussy in various ways getting myself turned on and when getting ready to orgasm, I rub my clit hard (harder than I think I'd be able to handle sometimes lol) and ride out the orgasm. I think you just have to tell yourself you can do it (not over thinking and saying "I never cum this way").

I always hated this argument about desensitization because it has a hint of denigration of female masturbation (I know others will disagree but I feel that this interpretation is correct). Yet there is something to it.

I agree that it can be presented that way and I hope I didn't come off as denigrating. But lately I've been hearing it more in context of male masturbation (and have had to deal with that as well with partners) so I guess I wasn't keeping that particular association in mind. I certainly do not wish to imply there is anything negative about masturbation. :rose:

Ok, the mention of the dorsal vein has sparked some thoughts. These are some things I have learned that work for me but ymmv. Hopefully they will be of some use to you. :)

Knowing that blood flow to the pelvic area increases during arousal and in turn you become more sensitive to touch, you can use a combination of breathing and pelvic pressure to accomplish more of both (blood flow and sensitivity). Take a deep breath, and relax your pc muscle and gently push down just for a second or two as you breathe out. Repeat that every few breaths. This can speed up your getting to that level where your vulva and clit are fully engorged and becoming more responsive to the slightest touch.

Another technique for the pc muscle - While rubbing your clit, see if you notice a difference in sensation on your clit when you are a) pushing down/out on a relaxed pc muscle and b) tightening the pc muscle like when you do a kegel. It may be subtle at first but the more you notice it and work with it, the more clear the difference becomes. If there is a difference, you can use this to your advantage. For me, the sensation is stronger when I have my pc muscle tightened, so I like to keep it relaxed for long stretches, then tighten it and wham! the sensation suddenly jumps up a couple levels and I get closer to climax. Then back away from the edge, relax the muscle, go back to the lower level of sensation, and repeat.

Getting close to orgasm, then backing off, as many times as you can take it, greatly increases your sensitivity, not to mention leads to a harder orgasm. Maybe you could try telling yourself, "I am not going to orgasm, this is just playing" and then take yourself to the edge repeatedly. If you have a pattern of thinking "I can't cum this way" then this will take that idea out of the equation.

Maybe this is no place for a man to throw in his 02, but I have taken a great interest in female masturbation over the years with various girls I dated. It's very true about vibrators. You can become addicted to them to the point that nothing else will satisfy.

Back and forth across the hood works well. I've found that it doesn't irritate, and it seems comparable to a good old fashioned shaft stroking without touching the head on a cock. Just basic handjob techniques.
