Adverbial clauses: Looking over this sentence, I saw I was clearly overusing the word ”definitively.”
I’m more forgiving of filler words and phrases used in dialog if they tell us something about the character. My pet peeve in dialog is the refusal to use contractions when they would be used in normal speech. It stilts the dialog.
