Were any of your fetishes influenced by crime stories?

When I was younger, I remember being fascinated by news stories of bank robbers forcing the bank’s customers to take off their clothes. I think it was to make the customers feel so embarrassed and powerless that they’d be too distraught to quickly report the crime to the police after the robbers left the scene.

I remember that my feelings about the stories were pure fetishy especially if I read that no one died during the robbery.

At the time, it’s possible I had a strange view that life must look very different afterwards if you’ve been nude in public.

As a writer and enjoying psychology, I might not call it a fetish, but the controversy regarding the Stockholm Syndrome always intrigued me. That was named by a doctor who studied a bank robbery in Stockholm Sweden that went bad, but afterwards the people in the bank who were held captive, actually looked with compassion on their abductors/bank robbers, which stunned the police. "Why would they do that", and it is a heated topic of discussion on whether it is a true syndrome or not, even some 50 years later.

If you believe it exists within a person, and you are a writer; it has the potential to make a few erotic stories more interesting, or even plausible.

Personally, I am on the fence on whether it is an actual syndrome or not. I could see where it could happen under a very specific circumstances, but might just consider it a variation of PTSD and not an actual condition uno its own.

I saw one of these stories just the other day. Home robbery where to two robbers had the wife strip and stay naked while she showed them the valuables. She was interviewed by tv later, complaining that her brother and teen children had seen her. They didn't rape her, they just wanted her naked for them and everybody else. I hadn't seen a crime like that before.

so.......... a woman 10 years older than I.....we were discussing things that caught us 'surprised'....... it wasn't a crime issue......anyway, she admitted she caught her mother doing a young guy (over 18). After that she admitted telling her hubby and they play acted the scene. She paused and then said to me....... ever since that time, I've dreamed of getting caught, she said. I looked at her and said, "I'm going to leave right now. You should imagine what it would be like for me to 'catch you playing'. She looked shocked. I said, "Leaving now". and walked out the door. I waited for five minutes and walked back in. She was on the chaise lounge on her back deck........ naked.........and playing with her self...........
