okay at age 38 almost 39 I am still waking up in the early morning with rock hard wood. In fact most nights I am awake at least twice by having rock hard erections.

Are they different than my usual ones? I would say yes. My usual erection cause if arousal by visual or auditory stimulus. That is if my s/o decides to get out her toy and tickle her clit... At 54, I still get one almost every night. I agree with what a few guys have stated - they are unusually hard, and last long. My wife is almost always still sleeping, so my options are to let it die down by itself or take care of it (hate to waste a good boner). Lately, it's been more of option #2. I have to do this quietly and keep the mess minimal, not always easy.
