Felines

Midnight is a beauty! She is almost identical to mine back home in South Africa. Her name is Merlin :cathappy: :cathappy:

They would be lovely friends.

Mid is a sweetheart, snuggly and happy. It took her a few months to trust us completely, poor stray baby, but we were very honored when she settled in.

I have a few stray black cat hairs on my keyboard at this very moment from the last time she vaulted onto my desk to sit on my hands while I typed. :cathappy:

Sounds like you have the cat's names well in hand. I just wanted to offer a thought on keeping cats out of the baby's room when it arrives. I don't know how concerned you would be with that but I have liked the idea of putting a screen door on a baby's room. The cat can see in and hear the baby but can't jump in the crib with it or lay in the crib when the baby is not there. Screen door can be removed later on.

Thank you, Sssarah :rose:

I don't garden, and I don't go near the litter tray :cattail:

It's more of an issue with outside cats... which these obviously were if they showed up on your doorstep... but it's always better to be safe than sorry....

My husband hated pregancy for that reason... he had to change the litterbox!

I have recently had a few "ijfdlksdjfskjdhf"'s in my IM conversations due to kitty pounces :cathappy:

Twp very beautiful cats with a definate Siamese cast to their features. (Apple Heads if I recall the trminology correctly.) Being males you have less of a problem, no kittens.

Have you seen if they use a litter box? I'm hoping they do, whcih will reduce strain on you and hubby.

I too know about taking in strays. We had a bit of drama because of it. (Now instead of two adult cats we have an entire heard consisting of three adults and three now two month old kittens.) We have:
Smokey,
BubbaShay,
Critter,
Magellin,
Squeek, and of course,
Scrapper.

All are loving and get along fine. (I can't tell you the fun it is waking up in the middle of the night to got to the bathroom and finding yourself pinned because you have not on, not two, but a total of six feline Love Bugs laying on the sheets.)

As for names, I wouldn't even try to help you until you attempted to explain their personalities.

Cat

Tempting Kitties

If you're going to call one Iblis, then the other should be Shairan. Both tempt humans to do naughty things.

Perhaps a name from some of the ancient Egyptian gods:

there is Isis, Anubis and Osirius but these may be too familiar...

Qetesh seemed interesting, perhaps pronounced Key-tesh

Qetesh
Goddess of love and beauty

just a thought...

Qetesh is lovely :) *nods*

No more suggestions from me yet, I've not woken up properly so my names would be even lamer than usual *L*

Hi Vana,
Haven't been on for a spell. Happy to see you up and healthy after the recent scare.

I'm a twit with names. But with one on the way, I would hope you're a little better with them. Maybe dig out the baby names book and go over some of the ones you rejected?
