Just watched this film on the WB channel, it will be re broadcast at 8pm eastern time next Sunday, if anyone is interested.

This is a Disney/Hallmark variety, syrupy; a morality play set in 1775 America.

However, I was interested in the presentation of the "Loyalists" and the "Patriots" adversity prior to the Revolutionary War. Also to the period and the furniture, lifestyle, food, clothing customs and styles of the time.

Apparently there is an 'American Girl' series of books, films and dolls, I was not aware of it before watching the film and the after advertising.

Just wondered if anyone else saw it. I sent off emails to my daughters and their daughters, of an age they might enjoy it. I rather think it could become a classic film...maybe...maybe not...

I didn't see the movie but the American Girl dolls have been popular for a number of years.

Here's a link to the official site.

My daughter was never very interested in the dolls or the books. It's more of a status thing, I suppose, as the coordinated outfits are as expensive as they are fashionable.

Sorry, I changed the station. I like the "Gilmore girls" and didn't like that it wasn't on, so I watched "Bones". It was good.

I saw some of it. It's kinda boring. Doubt it will be anywhere near a 'classic'.

"Tea is a sign of tyranny!"...cute, older Patriot boy to Felicity, age 10, undecided

...

"Thank you, Miss Cole, I shall take no tea." ...Felicity

"So now you're a Patriot?" ...Loyalist girl, age 10

"I guess so."

It ain't the Wizard of Oz, nor even Little House on the Prairie.
