Feeling Foolishly Giddy

Although I'm married to my Master, and we very much live together, we don't get a lot of private time. We have two busy teen/adults who are off for the summer and keep odd schedules. My son doesn't drive so he's dependent on his sister or me for a ride (Sir can't drive anymore), and he's a video game geek so he tends to hole up in what I lovingly call the Den of Despair. My daughter has lots of nights out on her own, mostly theater or RHPS related.

Tonight they are BOTH going to be out, together, late. Having a late snack and catching a midnight movie opening.

For the first time in MONTHS, this means we get some serious playtime. It's been so, so long that I'm feeling almost as giddy and jumpy as I did back in our long-distance days. I know, all you actual LD folks are probably rolling your eyes at me (I would be, if I were still in those shoes), but it really IS just about the same as far as getting to be wild and loud and doing the things we really love.

Just had to share and hope some of my joy rubs off on everyone.

:grins: Both of my (younger 6 and 13) children are away for extended periods of time this summer. While the mother in me is cringing away from babies being gone.. the kitten in me is roaring with pleasure.

It was a splendid evening, quite....gratifying for both of us, judging from Master's savage grin (dear gods, I love that look!) I went to sleep floating on endorphins, which is something I love and is very rare for us. <happy sigh>

I have to share a funny...file it under "when kinky people get old". We had a bit of play early in the morning about a week ago. Master wanted to put some toys away in a more convenient place, so I suggested a drawer in our tv armoire. He liked that idea, and away they went. Neither one of us could remember, last night, where the hell they were. We looked in all of the obvious places, and must have walked past that drawer 10 times before it suddenly clicked.

So I get to go into the weekend happily sore. I'll be doing a lot of sitting tomorrow, so it's going to get interesting. Meanwhile, Master has that wonderful smirk on his face that I love so very much.

Glad to hear you had a great time....

I laughed and laughed over your lost toys, lol. What a great real-life moment. I REALLY hate putting something up and then forgetting where you put it. I could just imagine hunting all over for something that you should never really be -hunting- for. LOL. How amusing. Thank you for sharing.
