I'm pretty sure that most trolls just drop their one-bombs and don't leave a comment. On this particular story, I monitored the first 12 votes, and I think thery were five votes of "5" six of "1" and a "3." It seems like I always get a "3" shortly after a story posts. After that, I got a lot of votes, and I couldn't guess what they were, except they were probably mostly fives and ones.

Telling you "FAG, come out of the closet and get your sorry ass kicked by real men" is not alright even if the story were autobiographical in nature.

I don't think the readers are justified in making the silly assumptions they sometimes make, and writing nasty personal insults. Of course, they have a right to do it. I rarely delete comments, because I find some of them amusing and some of them gratifying and some of them useful. Truth be told, I get more like the one two posts before this one than any other kind.

Of course, I would never shut off comments.

I admit the last two stories are posted are hardly good. The majority of the negative comments are not about the writing or story at all. "FAG, come out of the closet so you can get your sorry ass kicked by real men" is hardly about the writing not being good enough. I've actually received some constructive criticism that I plan to use in the future. I posted an incest story years ago and recieved just about all positive comments. No death threats or threats of bodily harm on that one. For the comments made directly about the author's person and having nothing to do with writing ability, I disagree with you that they will get better just because the writing is better. They have to do with the topic of cuckolding not whether the writing is good or bad. Some people hate cuckolding and will insult you and threaten you over a cuckolding story.

I was almost ashamed to post them, but not for the reasons that most of the negative commenters think I should be ashamed. They think I should be ashamed because of the cuckolding aspect. I was more concerned with the writing quality and not really giving a fuck whether someone disagrees with my enjoyment of the cuckold fetish. There are people commenting on how they like the stories while I don't even think they're good. So I imagine you get a lot of praise for a good slut wife story. Does getting a lot of praise mean the insults and threats to you as a person are any less hateful and despicable?

I want to post in my own comment section a thank you to the commenters who have left criticism of the actual story. Some have given me tips for writing better. Some have said the story is trash and I should try harder. I am very thankful for comments about the actual story. Me neither. I leave them for anybody to see. Truth be told, I'm not reading the insults and threats while fuming mad or sadly pouting. I'm mostly smiling ear to ear and occasionally bust out laughing while reading how someone could be so ignorant. Occasionally someone makes a wise crack and even though it's an insult to me, I'm like, "now that's funny. I don't care who you are, that's funny." Most of the insults though are just mean spirited and not humorous at all.

Yes it does unless the threatened action is immanent/imminent (?) it has been found to be covered by the first amendment.

I have only had a few threats to my person and had a good laugh and even posted a response to those idiots on several stories. I don't take threats by anonymous assholes seriously nor do I let them consume my psyche. The same goes for those comments about the content of my stories. I have plenty of LW stories...go read the comments I think you will get a kick out of some of them.

You are allowed to post what you want in the comment section of your stories. If the person making the comment has used their screen name just click on it and send them a private message. If it's from anon you are probably out of luck as most people who comment do so and never come back to see if there is a follow up. I know I don't.

I have never gotten any actual death threats, and I feel rather disappointed. I expected to get some on my latest story, because it is a cheating wife AND she is cheating with a black man AND he is the legendary hung black stud.

Threats, such as the ones I was hoping to get, would probably not be actionable, because they are obviously not serious. In the unlikely event somebody wanted to kill me over something I wrote, he would be unable to find me to do so, and he and I know it. This is something akin to the Fallwell vs Hustler case, when the story about the conmplainant was so obviously untrue nobody could possibly believe it, so it was not slander.
