I'd like to thank whoever has just left some extremely useful constructive criticism of one of the threads in the Tau Ceti story. (Possibly jtzmm ?) Re-reading the thread in question ('Head for the Mountains') I found I agreed with the comments completely, and re-wrote the thread. Thanks to everyone who bothers to leave feedback, it really is very much appreciated, and helpful in improving the story.

It would be great if there was more of this type of review going on. A story can only get better if someone can make some suggestions to make it better.

I did leave a couple of short comments as I read through the story, but I can't take credit for that particular one.

(Though reading it over I see what was changed and I approve...I remember thinking it was slightly unrealistic that he'd be feeling aroused at that particular moment, no matter how hot the women chasing him were.)

I used to leave lots of comments on threads in stories, but slacked off.

One feature I wish they had was a tag on the comments indicating who the comments are from.

In a way I kind of like that they're anonymous. No worries about leaving criticism, and none of this 'I scratch your back, you scratch mine' business that I see on so many other writing sites.

One thing I would like however is a slightly larger comment box, it's be more noticeable and hopefully encourage people to leave slightly longer comments.

I would at least like the option of...um..."nonymous" commenting. I already "sign" my comments, provided that the author knows me somehow or otherwise can find my email address. I do this because I want to be able to discuss the thread, and many writers have gotten back to me about the passages I've commented on. I say this is a much better way of improving stories given what we have to work with on Chyoo v2.
