So I know that new posts and reactions by the people I follow show up in my "News Feed". However, new posts by these people are often swamped by the number of reactions. I know I dole out way more reactions than posts, and it seems to be similar with most everyone else.

So, it would be great if there was an option to receive alerts when people you follow post new messages only. I realize that that would, for some Litsters that I follow, totally spam my alerts, so perhaps as an alternative, you could get an alert saying that the person had posted, but like a watched thread, it would only show you once for that member until you clicked on it and it took you to that member's postings tab. Or to a filtered version of the News Feed, filtered by member and posts only perhaps.

However it might work the solution should idealy meet the following criteria
  1. Allow you to be alerted to new posts by people you follow.
  2. Do so without spamming your alerts.
  3. Give you an easy way, presumably by clicking on the alert, to see just new posts (not reactions) by that member.

I would only support a feature like this if it also came with the ability to prohibit or remove people from following you. A lot of people here are dealing with the fact that someone they avoid is opting to follow them on the site.

sorry maybe off topic. But why do i have posts and works that i am trying to publish since 2 months ago and they are still not reviewed?

I suppose that makes sense. This feature wouldn't really do anything that isn't already possible, it would just make it easier to do. But if you've got someone stalking you online, making it easier is the last thing you would want to do.

The ideal solution would be to have a block feature rather than an ignore feature.

Or perhaps you want both, block would sort of be like a reverse ignore. Ignore prevents you from seeing someone else on the site, while block prevents them from see you?

That would probably make it easier to implement, because the functionality already exists, you just need to initiate it from the other side.
