I am considering deleting my account here.
However, in reading some of the notes on the FAQ etc, it seems forum posts and such are still left intact (?).
Is this truly the case or can we ask to remove some/all of our forum posts and associated content?

I am NOT requesting this yet, I just want more information.

As to the why, it seems there is A LOT of new users to the forum, and inevitably it has brought about a lot of people who are here simply to harass various women on this site and its made Lit go from a fun community to one that is less than enjoyable now. As such, I am considering this option.

Thank you.

Hi Kat,
That’s such a shame, and seems to be one of the inevitable consequences for popular women here
I’m unsure whether you can delete a thread, but you can delete individual posts - though not those quoted by someone else
Did you realize you can restrict who can dm you, if you go to privacy settings?
Obviously that doesn’t help with public posts, but that option is there if that’s the main problem

Thank you, and yes it is a shame as I only try to bring a smile to people's faces and while some issues may be my fault or partly my fault, other issues are certainly not. I have a thick skin, but dont have time or a desire to see and engage with negative energy all over. And its more of trolling on my thread than in my dms to be fair. Most of my dms have been respectful.

As for ignoring, I think its pointless. I should be able to block someone from seeing my content, not me from seeing theirs. Otherwise they will continue to harass me or people in my thread and I would be "blissfully unaware". Not desirable.

That’s harsh then, and agreed it’s not resolved by ignoring if that’s happening
I think if there are specific people who are persistent problems, you could ask a mod to remove them?
Hope you manage to resolve it

Yes, the Ignore function as implemented here is worthless. A user can always choose to look at ignored content. I have had people that I am ignoring quote my comment and reply to it!

If it’s in AmPics, I can’t help. I’ll take a look, but I definitely recommend reporting posts that are as you’ve described here.
I have before, never seen a result. Didnt know if it was because you are overwhelmed, if the person was not breaking a rule, or if it went to the ether etc.

Also, sorry, my thread tends to get busy. Sorry, lots of pages to wade through. But you will def see plenty of ppl tell him to f off aside from me over the last few weeks. And in SpicyBean's thread Bilbo2000 and/or GuitarGuy100 were being pests.
It was GuitarGuy more in mine to be fair and Bilbo more in Beans, at least, to the best of my recollection. Both have been dicks. Theres others too, a new user named Crankbait88 is joining in the "fun" but hasnt done much...yet

Best wishes in whatever happens here. You have the right to be in a safe space.

I believe the site can run a purge of your posts when you ask the site to terminate your account, the same way it does when someone gets banned.

But what it can't do is remove posts where someone else has reposted (when they Reply to something you've posted). What happens then is that your post stays visible, but you are identified as "Guest".

It's a shame that the low lives are chasing you away from the site.

test

had image here, nuked it.

you can attach images at least, but thats currently against the rules i believe, or maybe only noodz cannot be attached inline etc.
i dont recall (sorry mods!), i just use links

i think perhaps because 1-server space and 2-something about not allowing minors to waltz in and see naked people and etc...or those are my guesses at any rate. i tihnk another site had the same issue hence no naked people in avatars, in attached files etc

Makes me wonder if there's an easy way to separate the forum account from the main Lit account. I agree that the interactions stemming from the forums are the ones that soured my opinion on the site as a whole.

They already are separate accounts from my understanding. There are people that have had their forum account banned but still retain a story-side account.

Always report them. Some of the mod work is subjective - we each might have different thresholds for “disruptive,” but I would recommend reporting harassment 100% of the time. Some of us are on the site more often than others, too, which is fine - there’s not an expectation that we are available 24/7. I check in several times a day on most days, often just for enough time to check reports and PMs, but I do think I’m fairly available. Feel free to PM me.
