I have to do some traveling this spring/summer and I would like to know from those of you that travel quite a bit, what is your favourite airline?
And how do you book your ticket? The 800 number?Online with the airline itself?Travel agent?online discount booking site?

Well when I "did" travel regularly I tended to stay with American so I could earn towards my mileage. I didn't have any problem with them, other than always having to go through DFW and that clusterf*ck LOL I would fly them or Continental if I was going international for certain, but otherwise I fly Southwest whenever I can if I am going within the US

most of my trips I scheduled online with Expedia or Travelocity, even sometimes on the actual airline website itself. Just depended upon who could find me the lowest rate....personally I think it works better when I don't have to call and talk to someone, but rather look for the lowest rate myself, which online always tends to be lower than what they tell you on the 800 # regardless of what airline you are flying.

I am backwards and forwards to the Caribbean and sometimes Miami. Usually use Ebookers.com

you know an alternative would be to actually go Amtrak if you can....yeah it might take a day or two to get where you are going depending on the length of your travel, but the money spent is well worth it.....you get to see parts of the country you otherwise wouldn't see from a plane, plus you don't get subjected to all that security BS at the airport,a nd you end up being able to interact with people better on a train compared to sitting all cramped up in a plane between a smelly guy and a crying baby LOL

that is my fear
to be on the LONG LONG ass flight I will be on and IM stuck beside someone who smells like ass crack

I think the airlines are all the same, really. They all try to do a good job but they all have occasional bad days, just like you and I. None of them will deliberately try to screw you over but stuff happens, you know.

Having said that, I highly recommend travelling light and carrying on. Checking luggage has never been a lucky choice for me. Try space saver bags and think twice about what you really need to bring.

I've had pretty good luck with Expedia and CheapTickets but as someone above me said, check the airline websites directly. Don't book over the phone because they'll charge extra.

And have a great trip!
