One of those glorious moments when you learn about something you never knew was unknown.

I never ran into a discussion about it and assumed that spiders were just parachuting and maybe catching an odd draft here and there.

I read a lot of Science fiction when I was a kid and they're were always ideas about using electrical fields of a planet for propulsion. Spiders were already doing it.
