Which would you rather have in a girlfriend? Chubbie and bright with a good disposition OR attractive and skinny and not a lick of sense? No substitutions or additions. I've always sided towards the chubby girls cause frankly high maintenance is well, high maintenance and life is too fucking difficult already. Anybody else see "Shallow Hal"?

i saw shallow hal. i thought it was amusing but not worht the $8.50. also, i thought that even though there was a good message under it all, the laughs were still at fat jokes, thereby undoing a lot of the more thoughtful aspects.

i would definitly prefer a chubby gf or bf who was intelligent and nice. i've always found that when a person's mind and soul are sexy, their bodies are usually sexy also.

But our shell influences who we are to an incredible degree. Heart and soul are poetic intangibles not measurable and surely malleable by a change in physical circumstance.

Put it another way, if a large and in charge man is shy and gentle, people tend to regard him as a "Gentle Giant". Overnight the same guy becomes a Lou Ferrigno clone and people are intimidated by his mere presence. Nothing's changed in the man's demeanor but would it stay the same over the course of a day in the real world?

I know that if I were to resemble Denzel or someone tall and attractive I'd be a different man because people would treat me different and I would respond in kind.

I tend to like chubby girls because they usually have the physical assets I love and they don't act as if the world owes them a debt for their beauty. Can a chubby girl be attractive? Sure. But let's not kid ourselves. Modern Western culture values beauty and thiness in women and money and power in men. Bottomline.
