UGH!!

I know all of you have felt this way at one point or another. But I have been feeling so FAT lately. It doesn't bother me much when other people make comments about my weight but when I start noticing it myself and and it starts bothering me is when it becomes a real issue!

I had been excercising regularly before I spranged my ankle in march. It was 2nd and 3rd degree sprangs so it took longer than usual to heal. Well, I never really did get back to excerising like I had been and now I am paying for it.

So I've started back walking and trying this diet a guy at work suggested. It's a low/ no carb diet. talk about hard!!! arggggg I never realized how much carbs I was taking in... All my favorite foods are loaded with carbs, all grains are outrageously high.

Anyway, in the first 24hr I walked 3miles, high impact, and ate low-carb and lost .5# that was 2 days ago.. i haven't weighed again yet but I gotta tell ya.. this is driving me insane!!

I feel like a druggie going cold turkey, I'm jonesin for some carbs big time LOL

I know you all can't help me much but, I NEED YOUR PITY!!
 
How is this substitute? Every time it gets to the point when you absolutely must have a high carb food, cum instead.
See? Lose weight and have fun.
Think it will catch on?

You aren't fat SK, knock it off. Sure, you're schlepping around a bit more poundage than you're used to, but give it some time and it will go away. You're gorgeous babe, the guys don't notice the extra 1/4" on your abs cause they're too busy ogling the extra 1/4" on your boobs. *grinning evilly* I know I am. Why else would they be bringing up tying and rollbars? Purely a sexual innuendo, they are hot for you honey.
 
I think Merelan might be onto something here with that idea. Of course, my problem is I am always hungry after sex. I am sorry you are feeling so frustrated with the diet. I think you should give yourself time to adapt to the new diet & keep walking. Exercise is good for the weight loss & hopefully will help strengthen your ankle. Crash weight loss is so bad for your overall health. I know this isn't very helpful, but I am sending lots of hugs & good thoughts your way.

thats the truth about the big boobies too Muff! I always have thought my breast were my best feature... until recently. it seems almost over night (well ... in the last 2 weeks) I have gone from fitting comfortablly in a 34B to falling out of 36C.. I can't stand it!!! ugh! and Yes I have even put on some extra pounds since those pics on my website which were takin in august.

I could stand to lose 40# and still be above the suggested weight for my height and body build!

Well SK ya can have the nasty flu i have ive eaten three times since sunday!! Lost 8 lbs though!!
 
kitten- i have to say i think diets are f*ed up. i understand fat days though,... i've had plenty. but it comes down to knowing that you love yourself, and your body is beautiful- because it's yours,... so i quote janine garafolo (yes i know i butchered her name) "fuck you for making me feel bad about myself." do what makes you happy kitten,... enjoy life,... don't spend it doing things that don't let you enjoy it. :)
 
SK, damn, I really sympathize with you. I know very well that "fat" feeling. Was going to start going to the gym, but the day before, I broke my toe. I've just been able to walk without limping recently.
I heard on the news the other day that about an hour after a work out, your sex drive increases. Food for thought.
 
Maybe I better patent the idea. I bet I could sell it on the talk shows...

Yes, absolutely serious. From personal experience, it's true. I have so much more energy after a workout, it's crazy. SK, I don't think many men would complain if you attacked them!
 
Hey, keep it up. I'm on the same diet plan and have lost 56 pounds in 6 weeks. I promise that the craving for carbs will pass. Mine lasted a week. Try sugar free Jell-o with cool whip on top. Makes you feel like you're cheating but it is very low-no carb.

hey congrats too!!! I've seen a good deal of success with people who've done it at work. But ya gotta know when to stop. I've watched a guy get so thin he looked down right sickly.

Update

I just weighed myself tonite at my friends house after walking 3 miles. After 5 days I have lost 4.5#.. i'm pretty impressed with myself... that much more encouragement to keep it up....


hey Lajo... when I make it to my goal I'm gonna take you up on your offer so you might as well start shoppin for a plane ticket now hehe

I do know how you feel, and it is extremely hard at first, you motivation has to be there no matter what. When you don't feel like exercising you still have to do it. I will give you my personal story about this.

I weighed 208 14 months ago and have lost 118 lbs and yes it is hard, but worth it in the long run I know weigh 113 lbs and wear a size four I used to fit in a plus size 22 so it is a big change and I feel good now. It is nice going to a store again and being able to buy clothes without dreading every minute of it.

What I did and you don't have too it is just what worked for me, is I cut out all sweets totally that means NONE. I eat only salads and chicken no red meat, low carbs is ok for some but you have to exercise that is what I did. I walked and walked up to almost 5 miles to 10 miles a day. And that is everyday, Also you must be aware that your body incuding the boobs (which sucks) do go down as well as other parts but it will take time and a lot of effort on your part.

It took me 14 months and a lot of hard work and I am not done even though my hubby thinks I look good I still want more off my stomach. If you want to e-mail me I can help you with some other things that have helped me. Your main thing is you have to be mentally ready before it can change and you have to be willing to do what it takes. Also set a goal for yourself and don't weigh yourself too often once every 2 weeks because then you will get frustrated and then you wonder if it is worth it.

I believe that anyone can because I did and I always thought I would be FAT for the rest of my life so I wish you luck and if you want to talk anytime IM or e-mail me I do know how you feel I have been there and it is hard, but worth it in the end. Good Luck Sk I am here to talk anytime.
 
I lost about 55# (and was still a few pounds from my goal). People were telling me how good I was looking and then when I got closer to my goal, some began telling me I was getting too thin. I happend to see my shoulders in a mirror one day and for some reason they looked BONEY!! I got scared and depressed and started gaining weight again. I've since put on about 25# and hate myself for it. I realized too late that they were just jealous, that I WASN'T too thin. Now I'm working my ass off to lose those extra pounds.

I just saw something on TV about a website http://www.cyberdiet.com/

It's supposed to be able to tell you what your food intake, activity levels, etc need to be in order to lose weight. There's supposed to be a place to log what activities you've done and the food you've eaten and I can't remember what else.

I hate diets where you have to log what you eat, when you eat,and how much you ate. I feel guilty when I see it in print. I am more apt not to eat anything at all just so it won't look like a lot on paper. I've been tempted to fudge it on paper too, and that only makes me feel that much worse.

I know what you mean about weighing yourself too often. I don't own any scales, but my friend does. I think I weighed myself 3 times last night while I was over there haha... I told her that weighing myself could almost become some kind of compulsive thing

I try to be healthy about losing weight, and especially careful since I am borderline diabetic. I do worry about losing it too fast or getting so set on the idea that i am fat that I lose too much weight or become compulsive about losing it.

I think losing weight is like anything else, it can become addicting.
