I have started a new job and must now keep my tattoos covered - the one on my forearm required that I wear long sleeved shirts. I am ok with the requirement. Most of my working life, I'm now 60 years young, dress long sleeve shirts with a tie were the uniform-of-the-day, and I can do that again. But I don't want that, and the tie is not required.

My crossdressing is well know here at Lit but blouses will not work - damn those "wrong" sided buttons!

I want a men's shirt with long sleeves -
I want it to be loose fitting, (so I can wear a bra once in a while  )
I want to wear it un-tucked,
I want some bit of color and pattern,
I want cotton.
I want to wear a blouse and skirt to work (opps sorry )

I have started using the following words in my search - kurta, guayaberas, tunic, safari - but none are what I want. Well the kurtas are great, but a bit over the top.

What the hell do I call the sort of shirts I'm looking for?

Help!

How dressy is it? Can't you just wear long sleeve knit-like shirts? Ya know, like from the Gap or whatever. Those and a nice pair of slacks are what my dad always wears to work.

These might work. They are masculine, yet still allow for that, um, breezy feeling. :)
Utilikilts

Good on you sureibu, Utilitikilts rock. My X modeled them for supplier outside of the US and he carried himself with immense testosterone style, could even pass as conservative with that level of personal confidence.

Ohh major drool and lament time, I'm out. Good luck with the search Fu  :rose:

I've worn kilts to numerous events and even a wedding or too. Never had an ounce of trouble, and they're great conversation starters.

Commando?

A buddy of mine once dressed as William Wallace for a costume party. Went so far as to tease his hair, but kept the boxer briefs.

Commando is the inevitable question you are always asked when wearing a kilt. And the proper answer, if the questioner is female, is to invite them to check. With a male, the response vaires based on situation and level of inebriation.

Seeing as how I'm not wearing my kilt currently, and we're all friends here, the answer is sometimes. Depends on what I've got planned, and who I'm going to be with. It wouldn't do to invite a lovely lady to check, and then to have her find out the I'm wearing briefs :D

I would like to see kilts mandated for all domly styling wardrobes.

That is all.

I have done scenes in a kilt. Medieval-themed role-play stuff. Loved it.

Wore armour too. It is hard as hell to flog someone when my shoulder mobility is restricted by a frikken breastplate.
