Falling for the unknown *OPEN*

When they got outside, Rosalie hesitated momentarily, looking around. Archibald knew what she was looking for, and chuckled slightly.

"We will be walking, my dear. It is not far from here, and given the way traffic is in the local area, it is actually much quicker using our own feet." He led Rosalie down the street, walking at a casual place. The mixture of her perfume and her natural scent started stirring something within him that went beyond his current need for sustenance. He fought the confusion this generated, and focused on the night ahead. He knew that his masquerade was working, and he just needed to sustain it until such time as the transfer of the property was complete.

In what appeared to be not time at all, they arrived outside the restaurant. There was a small gathering of people waiting to enter, but Archibald walked past them to the host standing at the entrance.

"Reynolds. Party of two."

The young man briefly scanned his list, and with a barely noticeable gesture, summoned a waitress to show them to their table. The decor was opulent, the lighting was low and there was music playing from a live band on the other side of a substantial dance floor.

As they passed various tables, other patrons looked over at the couple, more eyes on Rosalie than on him. He smiled, correct in his assessment that Rosalie would attract a good amount of attention.

He held her chair for her as she sat down, then took his own seat opposite her. He looked across, caught by how she looked in the lighting and indeed the actual setting. If he was human, he would have been lusting for her body by this stage.

"Thank you for agreeing to come out with me to celebrate our mutual good fortune. It is always far better to celebrate with someone rather than alone. Don't you think?"

As he and Rosalie walked into the fancy restaurant she noticed the men looking at Archibald with envy, which was foolish because if they knew that the two had only just met, they probably wouldn't look like that. If they knew that she and Archibald had only been business aquaintances now, they probably wouldn't be looking at him with envy.

She smiled at Archibald when he pulled out the chair for her and then took a seat as he too sat down.

"Thank you for agreeing to come out with me to celebrate our mutual good fortune. It is always far better to celebrate with someone rather than alone. Don't you think?"

"Very true, I mean celebrating something alone can be...well just that, very lonely." Rosalie said, as she flicked her eyes over the menu. "So, since I've never been here and assuming you have what would you suggest I order?"

She looked up at him and perhaps for the first time that evening, she realized how handsome he was in his decadent suit. If this wasn't about business she'd probably be thinking very...unprofessional thoughts.

"So, since I've never been here and assuming you have what would you suggest I order?"

Archibald had indeed been there a few times before, each time with someone who would eventually slake his thirst. He was still viewing Rosalie in the same light, but there was a stronger desire pushing its way to the surface. He still had plenty of time to explore that feeling before it became either a problem, or no longer relevant.

"That depends on your personal tastes, my dear. But I would suggest either the chicken, lobster or they have a delightful vegetarian dish for those so inclined. And please, base you selection on what appeals to your dining desire. I can assure you that my finances can handle it." He smiled at her reassuringly.

He was caught by how hauntingly beautiful she looked. The dress showed off just the right amount of cleavage, from the perspective of across a table, and he was certain that the display would be much more enticing when they danced later that night. Rosalie's smile seemed to beckon his attention to her soft lips, and he found himself wondering how they would taste. And when he drew his gaze from her lips, her eyes he found to be quite enticing as well. More than any other person he had met, she seemed to show much of her soul through those shiny, gem like orbs.

For the first time since his change, he was looking at someone with a lust for their body, not their blood. He found himself intrigued by that development, and he smiled at the novelty of the thought.

"That depends on your personal tastes, my dear. But I would suggest either the chicken, lobster or they have a delightful vegetarian dish for those so inclined. And please, base you selection on what appeals to your dining desire. I can assure you that my finances can handle it."

The word lobster had caught her attention.

"Lobster? I think I'll order that then and thank you so much for inviting me, especially since you don't even really know me. This beats chinese takeout or something, by far." Rosalie said, another smile gracing her face.

Then a tiny blush crept on her face as she noticed him staring intently on her lips. She tried to pretend like she hadn't noticed it but it was sort of hard to.

"So, how long have you lived in England, if you don't mind me asking?" Rosalie said, trying to desperately take her mind off of anything provocative that involved Archibald.

"...and thank you so much for inviting me, especially since you don't even really know me."

"And what better way to get to know someone than over dinner?" He indicated his readiness to order with a gentle nod of his head when looking at one of the waiters. The young man approached while the blushing Rosalie asked her question.

"So, how long have you lived in England, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Just one moment, my dear. Two of the lobster dishes thank you, plus a bottle of wine to go with it. I shall defer to the house's judgment for the beverage." The waiter gave a short bow, and departed quickly and quietly.

"Sorry, about that. I have lived here in England for all 35 years of my life. I have moved from time to time for personal reasons, but I have found London to be most fitting for my current needs.

"And what of you? Where about from the United States do you come from? And what made you decide to sell real estate?" He paused to take a sip of water. "I hope that your beau doesn't mind your time away, or that you are being wined and dined by clients."

"Sorry, about that. I have lived here in England for all 35 years of my life. I have moved from time to time for personal reasons, but I have found London to be most fitting for my current needs…”

“Oh? Is it better for business?” She asked, then blushed. “I’m sorry, I’m probably too nosey for my own good.” Rosalie gave a small smile. So he was 35 years old? That meant he was at least 10 years older than her, not that it mattered because…this was just business, plus age didn’t really bother in relationships anyways. Though, this isn’t a relationship! She kept reminding herself. Just a business dinner with a buyer, she’d done that all the time.

“And what of you? Where about from the United States do you come from? And what made you decide to sell real estate?"

“It’s kind of a family thing.” She explained, “My mother was a real estate agent, My father was a real estate agent, hell even my grandparents were real estate agents. It’s more of a tradition than anything else.”
"I hope that your beau doesn't mind your time away, or that you are being wined and dined by clients."

“No, he doesn’t actually. He’s out of town a lot anyways so its more of an on and off again thing.” She gave a tiny shrug though that fact had bothered her because she knew that some of her own friends had long distant relationships, yet it seemed impossible for her and Dan to do just that.

“Oh? Is it better for business? I’m sorry, I’m probably too nosey for my own good.”

As she asked her question, the faint bloom of pink enveloped her cheeks, once more awakening his other desire of her. The thought of her vital essence coating his parched throat and filling him with the life he needed to continue made his mouth water and his fangs start to drop. His self control immediately kicked in, and he directed his thoughts back to her question and away from his more predatory needs.

"No need to apologise, my dear. Curiosity is a natural trait. I am independently wealthy. I have a large pool of investments that supply me with the funds I need, so I do not have to work anymore. No, I have moved here for more personal reasons. The ability to meet new people is far greater here than in any of my other previous abodes."

“No, he doesn’t actually. He’s out of town a lot anyways so its more of an on and off again thing.”

"Pardon my saying so, but that is a terrible shame on his part. A woman such as yourself should have a beau who is more dedicated to you than that. If it was myself in his place, I would ensure that you were not so cruelly neglected."

Before he could continue, the waiter arrived with their meals, placing Rosalie's down first, followed by his own. Right after him, a young woman arrived with the wine, and proceeded to pour the glasses, again, Rosalie first. The aroma of the food awakened long dormant memories of times where such a meal would be savoured and enjoyed to a degree that he never could attain now.

He took up his glass, proffering it to Rosalie. "Congratulations, Rosalie, on a successful business transaction. One that I suspect will enhance your professional reputation immensely."

Well, that wasn't very fair at all he didn't even know Dan very well enough to judge him the way he did. She hadn't really noticed when his fangs started to lower since, they hadn't lowered that much to begin with.

"Thanks, thats sweet of you." She said softly. Again, she blushed at his compliment. Then after lifting her glass to make a toast she smiled at him, "And to you Archibald, I wish you all the luck in the world in making that home as beautiful as possibly could be."

Archibald noticed a slight drop in the joyful expression on Rosalie's face when he mentioned her Beau. He was going to pursue it, but thought better. He had no intention of letting the man get in his way, and from appearances it would be an easy thing to remove him from the picture.

Again he caught himself looking at Rosalie as a partner, rather than a source of sustenance. 'What was it about this woman that I find so different, so attractive?'

"And to you Archibald, I wish you all the luck in the world in making that home as beautiful as possibly could be."

Their glasses clinked softly and they sipped the wine. "Let us enjoy the bounty of the ocean before it gets too cold." With that, he lifted out a small parcel of the shellfish meat, and going through the pretense of enjoying the meal.

Rosalie smiled and started to open her lobster and ate silently finding it hard to think of anything to talk about. She'd already asked how long he'd lived in England and since this wasn't exactly a date, she didn't think it was proper to ask any personal questions.

Instead of worrying about what to talk about, her mind slowly drifted Dan. Could he have been right? Was it foolish for her to date someone who didn't even seem that interested in dating her unless he was in town? Her mother had said such things but she'd never seemed to listen, plus her mother and Dan disliked each other anyways.

Finally after a few bites of the lobster, Rosalie said "This is really good."

The opening stage of the meal was spent in silence. At the start, it was uncomfortable, but Archibald made the most of it to stop fighting his confusion over his feelings about Rosalie. Once that adjustment was complete, he spent the time watching Rosalie and enjoying the view.

"I must apologize for my indiscretion earlier over your beau. I did not mean to cause offence, but merely point out that I think you are a person worthy of great attention. Even though I have only known you for a short time."

He ate a few more mouthfuls of his meal, continuing his observation of Rosalie.

"I hope you do not mind, but after we have finished eating, I thought we might partake in some dancing."

Most of the time, Rosalie had mostly been thinking of what Archibald had said as she ate her shellfish. It plagued her mind like a non-stop flu or something. It was like he infected her with his own opinion of her and Dan's relationship. She had no reason to feel bad about the way she lived. Still...there had been times when she wished...

"I must apologize for my indiscretion earlier over your beau. I did not mean to cause offence, but merely point out that I think you are a person worthy of great attention. Even though I have only known you for a short time."

His words snapped her out of her thoughts and a calm smile appeared on her face. "It's fine, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and you flatter me, Archie. It is okay that I call you Archie right? I mean, Archibald seems so..." she tried to think of a word that wouldn't offend him. "so, formal." Yes, that sounded good. Though in the back of her mind it made her feel like she was talking to an ancestor or something.

"I hope you don't mind, but after we have finished eating, I thought we might partake in some dancing."

"Dancing, really?" Her eyes brightened because she loved dancing, then hesitated, "Wait, what sort of dancing?" She got this strange eerie feeling that the sort of dance he meant was not something she was accustomed to, Ballroom dance.

"It's fine, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and you flatter me, Archie. It is okay that I call you Archie right? I mean, Archibald seems so... so, formal."

"I do prefer that people use my full name. I have found the word 'Archie' does not sit well. But I am not offended by you using the shorter version of my name. As for it sounding so formal, I am a formal type of fellow. I believe I am more old fashioned in my attitudes and outlooks."

When he mentioned dancing, Rosalie's eyes lit up. The smile that accompanied it made her look particularly attractive.

"Dancing, really? Wait, what sort of dancing?"

"Why, that kind of dancing, my dear." He nodded to the dance floor where three couples were slowly moving around to the music supplied by the small group of classical musicians. "If you have not done it before, my dear, don't panic. I can lead you well enough."

"you'd teach me? That's so sweet. No I don't mind dancing at all. I can't wait!" she flashed archibald a huge smile and continued her dinner. Her mind never going back to her boyfriend.

About an hour after socializing with archibald she'd finished her dinner she waited for arcinald to pay the bill.

"ready whenever you are."

Archibald smiled at the reaction to the offer of dancing. He was slowly winning her over. He was looking forward to having her with him. He was still baffled over the change in his thoughts about her. She was merely another meal for him, but yet he wanted more from her than that.

Once their dinner was finished, the waiter came over to inquire about the bill. He asked the young man to return after they had danced. He nodded and departed.

"ready whenever you are."

"Shall we then?" Archibald stood up, assisting Rosalie to stand, then led her to the dance floor. He took her into a standard waltz pose, and waited a few beats before he started them moving. The steps were straight forward, and Rosalie got them quickly.

"You are a very good dancer, Rosalie. Almost a natural for the look of it. I would like to thank you for agreeing to coming out with me this evening. You have made it quite special. Somehow, I get this feeling that we will be seeing a lot more of each other in the future. And if that is the case, I will be most pleased with that. As I am sure you would be too. Wouldn't you agree, Rosalie?"

"Shall we then?"*

Then he led her to the dance floor. She caught on real quickly though she had always been good at learning things quickly, especially dance. Within 20 minutes Rosalie had learned all of the basic steps.*

"Yeah I would be." Rosalie found herself saying. She found that odd as she did have a boyfriend and Archibald had been nothing but a client or so she thought.

Though she had to admit that he had this certain air of confidence like he could read her mind. " Thank you for the dinner .... and the dance lesson, it was fun."

*

Archibald and Rosalie almost floated around the dance floor. His earlier speculations concerning the view of her cleavage while dancing was correct. It did display more, but still in a manner that was delightful rather than lewd. Her proximity once more brought him into conflict over what he desired of her more. He still had the desire to taste of her blood, but he also had a desire to savour what other delights her body had to offer.

After a delightful time on the dance floor, he slowly led Rosalie away from the dance floor and back to their table. He casually gathered all of their personal items left behind, and he escorted her back to her hotel room. The walk back was as casual was the walk to the restaurant, with Archibald talking of his delight at finally getting to own such a property. He also took every opportunity to look at her, study her. He was in particular drawn to her neck. He found it graceful, but it also harboured a strong pulse of life bearing liquid. Kiss, bite and bite all vied for prominence in his mind.

They reached the door to her room, there was the inevitable pause that was less than comfortable. " Thank you for the dinner .... and the dance lesson, it was fun."

"Thank you for joining me in the celebration. It has been a most pleasant evening, and that is mostly due to the wonderful company you have been."

Archibald leant down and gave Rosalie a tender kiss on her lips, a kiss designed to warm the recipient but not ignite the passion. A tentative declaration of what else could be experienced.

When the kiss ended, Archibald was smiling slightly. "Pardon my being so bold, but I could not help myself. I hope you do not mind if I give you this." He handed over a small piece of paper, folded neatly in half, containing his cellular phone number. "If you feel the need, want or desire for my company, please do not hesitate to contact me. I enjoy your company greatly. I hope you sleep well, Rosalie."

Archibald waited for Rosalie to enter her room before he returned to his own haven to make further preparations for Rosalie.

The kiss he gave her was gentle not deep and passionate like that of a lover, but it wasn't a friendly kiss on the cheek. Rosalie stood there stunned unable to move for a brief moment. She shouldve felt guilty for allowing this man, a stranger for kissing her but she didn't. in fact she hated to admit it, but the evening had been alot more fun than she had eve had with her boyfriend.

"Thanks um, you sleep well too okay?" She walked inside the double doors of the Hilton Hotel but not before turning one last time to catch a glance at him once more.

When she arrived to her room, Rose leaned against the wall sighing softly, without thinking she programmed Archibalds number in her cell.

Archibald walked home, pleased with the outcome of the evening. He had started to get the young American woman so he could override her choices, and follow ones more of his liking. He was aware that he might have also started to charm her without resorting to any of his more recently gained talents. That gave him a sense of pride that he could manage such an outcome without his arcane powers.

He returned to his haven, one that would finally become his within the fortnight. He paused a moment in the main foyer. Rather than head directly to his haven, he wandered the mansion, pausing in front of one particular room. He opened the door slowly, small eddies of dust erupting in the wake of the door's passage before succumbing to gravity. The room was full of covered furniture under layers of unmoved dust.

He returned twenty minutes later with five candles, a stick of chalk and a small silver goblet. With an ease granted by nearly a century of constant practice, a small circle was inscribed along with a pentacle within. Outside the circle at each point Archibald placed a candle. He then proceeded to light each candle in the same order they were positioned. He opened his left wrist with his right thumb, letting the heavy liquid drop into the goblet until it was full.

He stood up, raising his arms until they were parallel to the floor. Deep, sonorous Latin filled the hall and the room. Measured and precise pronunciations battered and rent the air, causing the candle flames to flicker. The last word spoken carried with it a power that threatened to tear the air apart, possibly break through to another realm. But within the circle, a gauzy whirlwind about four feet tall took shape. on the outer edges of the swirling column, two faint gray eyes opened and looked directly at Archibald.

"You called... Master?"

"Yes, all the fine dust and other detritus within the room behind you is to be removed from this place and its grounds. It will be placed elsewhere in such a manner that it will not draw any attention. Do you understand this instruction?"

After a pause long enough to convey its opinion of the call and the task, yet not incur the caster's wrath, the whirlwind responded, "Yes... Master."

"Perform this task, and you will be released. Go."

The whirlwind faded from the circle, reappearing in the room. Like a cartoon tornado, the pinnacle of the mini storm moved in a controlled manner, lifting all of the dust and other unwanted material from the floor, and all the other surfaces within the room. Archibald observed the entire thirty minutes to took for the spirit of the air to remove all it needed to remove. With what appeared to be a bow, the spirit faded, leaving behind a room that was not only clean, but without the musty smell that dominated it prior to the invocation.

The candles flickered and guttered before finally going out. The spirit had fulfilled its task. Archibald picked up the still smoldering candles, erasing the circle and pentacle before picking up the pristine silver goblet. He returned all of the components to their proper places before he sat himself down to work through the remainder of his revised plan. Rosalie would soon have her own room, and Archibald would explore what it was about this human that entranced him so much beyond being a visually appealing meal.

Rosalie stepped into her hotel at the Hilton. It was one of the nicer suites with a huge bed, a grand view of the city. Her date...no business dinner with Archibald had gone particularly well. She could still feel his lips pressed against hers despite the fact that it was not a lustful one.

Rosalie could only imagine what a lustful....

Shaking her head free of those thoughts, she reminded herself that she had a boyfriend. Pulling her cellphone out, she began texting her boyfriend Dan. He was somewhere in New York City. Being a writer often brought you many different places. At least, that was what Dan always told her when she tried to get him to settle down with her.

She turned her attention back to her Iphone when it buzzed.

Cant talk, busy w/ writing.

He was busy. She told herself. That was all, there was nothing to worry about. Still...the words of Archibald continued haunting her. The words of her mother haunted her as well.

Going to her phonebook, she bit her lip and dialed Archibalds number, "Hello, Archibald? I'm sorry to bother you. I mean, I know we just saw each other. I just wanted to know, since you're so aquainted with England, if you'd mind giving me a tour?"

Archibald barely had enough time to sit down when his phone started to ring. He stared at it for a moment before remembering that he had given it to Rosalie. A sly smile quirked his lips as he moved to answer it.

"Hello, Archibald? I'm sorry to bother you. I mean, I know we just saw each other. I just wanted to know, since you're so acquainted with England, if you'd mind giving me a tour?"

"Good even again, Rosalie. I might not be able to give you a comprehensive tour of the nation, but I do know a number of place within this great city that you might find appealing. If you do not mind being submerged in culture, some of it going back thousands of years." He paused for a few seconds, giving the impression that he was thinking. "How about we see some sights tomorrow evening. This time, there will be a car. I can meet you outside the hotel at say... six o'clock? Again, we will have some dinner while we are out. Does that have appeal?"

The more time he spent with her, the more he would be able to pierce the mystery of his attraction to her. Plus it would be pleasing to be able to go out into the city with a charming, and rather attractive companion once again. It had been many years since he had been able to enjoy that sort of social contact.

Rosalie waited patiently as the phone rang. She was sitting on the edge of her seat, holding her breath as she waited. Maybe, it was a bad idea to call. Yes, perhaps she should just hang...

He'd said after she had asked him to give her a tour. A small smile of her own crossed her lips. She didn't particularly care if it was a comprehensive tour and she said as much. "I just ...need to get out of this hotel room and don't feel like getting lost in a continent I've never been before."

Besides, she had enjoyed his company...a lot. She probably enjoyed it a little more than she should have. Perhaps, it was the way he spoke to her, as if they were both in the 15th century.

"Six sounds great....I'll see you then.."she said before hanging up. After getting changed into a pair of boxers and a t-shirt, she slipped into the bed and fell asleep.

Archibald hung up from the call from Rosalie. He couldn't help but smile at the knowledge that she wanted to get out of her hotel room, and she desired company so she didn't get lost. Of course, he started to think of how he could use that desire to gain something special for himself.

He placed a call of his own, silently waiting for the other end to be picked up.

"Hello?"

"Hello, Alexander. Archibald here."

"Oh, sorry, Archibald. I was a million miles away when the phone rang. What can I do for you?"

"Oh, just a little favour. There is a young American woman here by the name of Rosalie. She is a real estate agent working for Jackson, Strong and Associates. I'd like to know what details Immigration and Customs have on her, in particular how long she's going to be staying."

"Sure, I'll get on to it first thing in the morning for you. Normal delivery for the information OK with you?"

"Yes, the current arrangements will be fine. Thank you, Alexander. I shall ensure that your superiors are kept well informed about your high standard of work."

"Thank you, Archibald. Good night."

"Good night."

When he received the information he sought, he would then be better able to ease her off the records, letting her slip into obscurity. By then, she would be his, heart and soul. Of course, once the legal ownership of his haven was in his hands, Rosalie would join him in the mansion. She would serve his needs, thinking that it was perfectly natural to do so. She would forget about all those other irrelevant details of her past life, such as the beau who didn't really care for her in the first place.

He eased himself from his chair, and went to his haven proper. Within the small complex was a workshop. The tight room held shelving along one length of the room, from floor to ceiling packed with an assorted range of containers; glass, ceramics, plastic. Powders, liquids, sands, crystalline substances, sands, dirts, ground up leaves, barks and other less obvious materials all filled the various containers. Opposite was a scarred, thick wooden bench. Above that sat a bookshelf crammed with leather bound books, sheaths of papers and a rack of scrolls.

From the far end of the bench, he grabbed a mortar and pestle, a medium sized beaker and a sharp knife. He set the implements out before him neatly. Beaker to his left, mortar and pestle in front and knife to the right. Without much thought or hesitation, Archibald grabbed four containers from the shelves behind him, and placing those in the bench as well. He opened one container, pouring out some finely crushed leaves into the mortar bowl. He proceeded to grind them up into a fine powder and poured it into the beaker. Next, he took a pinch of lime green crystals and dropped those into the beaker as well. The deep purple liquid of the third container was added until the bottom of the beaker was covered. He picked up the knife, extracted a small leech from the final container in his left hand and placed it in the flat of the knife's blade. With his thumb, Archibald squashed the leech, letting the juices of the creature run down the length of the blade and into the mixture.

He dropped the remains on the work bench, taking the wet blade to his wrist and slicing it open. Moments later, blood trickled into the beaker, causing a heavy vapour to emerge. When he stopped the blood flow, he stirred the mixture with the blade until everything had been evenly mixed. He looked for the proper container to put his creation in; a hand cream squeeze bottle. By the time he was ready to pour the contents in, the liquid had started to take on a more cream like consistency, as well as expanding to fill a third of the beaker with a rose coloured goo.

Archibald returned the containers to their proper places, and cleaned all of his equipment and work area. He wandered out, placing the tube near his resting place. He found himself a good book, and read for the remainder of the night, before retiring just before dawn. His last thoughts were of the enjoyment he would have that night with his newest acquisition.

The next morning, Rose woke up with random thoughts on her mind. She'd been thinking about her current boyfriend and the man she was with last night, Archibald. Just thinking about him gave her shivers through out her whole body. Typically, Rosalie was not the kind of girl who approved of thinking of other men while dating someone else. It was against all of her moral standards. but he seemed to have that kind of power over her.

She knew that her boyfriend loved her. She even told herself that one day they'd get married and have a nice family, with a white picket fence and all the works. Okay, maybe not quite THAT far. No picket fences; this wasn't the fifties anymore but something similar to the American dream.

After meeting Archibald though, she couldn't help but feel drawn to him. This was a crazy notion because she hadn't known the guy that long. He was very much the gentleman though, not to mention handsome. Was he polite in bed or more...feral? And thats where she cut her thoughts off. Rosalie had a boyfriend, it did not help things if she thought about other men.

She was starting to wonder about whether or not she should go out with Archibald that evening. Maybe it was a bad idea. Maybe she was just lonely and trying to not be lonely at least while she was there. About a dozen times that day she had almost called Archibald to cancel but never actually did.

By 5 o clock, she was screwed because she'd already put on a casual dress. It hugged her body nicely but not to the point where it screamed, fuck me. It had the more subtle announcement of saying 'I'm sexy and I know it but I want to be demure about it.'

He arrived out side the hotel at 5:45PM, in a chauffeured limousine. It had been hired, of course, from a company that he used exclusively. Plus, he always got the same driver whenever he needed their services. The man was the soul of discretion, after being caught in a position that his wife, and the police, would not have been very happy to know about should they ever hear about it. Of course, further association had made him sink deeper and deeper into potential trouble, so the man was willing to do anything to help Archibald.

He got himself out of the car, and entered the hotel lobby. His appearance made all the staff take notice, and they were all keen to assist him as he approached the front desk.

"Good evening, Sir." The young woman had her blonde hair pulled back into what could only be described as a regulation style ponytail. Her makeup was flawless, and his experience at reading humans faces told him that she was not faking the beaming smile she was giving him.

"Good evening. I was hoping that you would be able to let a friend of mine know I am waiting for her." He told her Rosalie's name and room number. With the briefest of nods, she dialed Rosalie's room.

"Hello? Yes, there is a..." Archibald gave his name. "Archibald Reynolds waiting for you in the foyer. Thank you." The young woman put down the hand set. "She said she would be down soon, Mister Reynolds."

Archibald smiled. "Thank you very much for your help." He walked off to an alcove that was meant for people to wait in. It afforded them a view of the lobby, without being hidden, but it kept the thoroughfare clear for other people who were going to their chosen destinations.

When Rosalie entered the lobby, Archibald was impressed. She had chosen a dress that was flattering, but still sedate and slightly conservative. To the casual eye, it was nothing out of the ordinary. But to anyone that took the time to observe her, they would tell that she was clearly demonstrating her ability to look very alluring.

He walked out into the main area, allowing her to see him clearly as he approached. He was dressed almost identically to the night before, expect he wore a white shirt and a deep red tie. He paused a few paces from her, smiling broadly before bowing gracefully to her. "My dear, you look wonderful tonight. Again, I shall be the envy of many people, and you shall gather more than your fair share of complimentary looks." He extended his arm. "Shall we?"

He led her to the car, where the driver was ready by the door, greeting Rosalie as she entered. He got himself settled beside Rosalie. He could feel her warmth, the soft caress of heat coming off her luscious body. A body full of the life giving essence that he so desperately needed to continue his existence. He could also clearly smell her. The heady mix of her perfume, as well as her natural scent that served as the foundation of the olfactory delight. The combination got his mouth watering, and he felt his canine's start to lengthen in readiness. He brought himself under control, and flagged the driver to head off.

"So, Rosalie, what you would like first, dinner or a little sight seeing?"
