I'd like to start an honest and healthy debate about the phenomenon of fake females on internet sites. Be that here on Lit or dating sites or even more mainstream social media sites. By fake females, I mean men who for whatever reason like to pretend to be female.
My questions are:
Do fake females, make it more difficult for real females meet a guy on Lit Personals?
Does this dishonesty erode the trust of men hoping to make a real female friend on Lit or other sites?
Should Websites do more to weed-out and ban fake females unless they state in their profile that they are male?
Sir Tim Berners-Lee who is credited with inventing the Internet said today (March12th,2019) on the Web's 30th Anniversery, that users of the internet need to stop the Web's downward slide into a dysfunctional future, where nothing is believed.
