Ok, before I begin: *GIRLY THREAD ALERT*

Right, now that's out of the way, back to sex...

Oops, no, not this time. :p

"Just get on with it, woman!!!"

What was I gonna say? Oh yeah, scales!

Not fishy scales, or kitchen scales, or dragon scales, but bathroom scales. I've never owned a set, until today... da-da-DAH!!!

My weight fluctuates, but how do I know this, without never before owning a weighing implement? Easy: jeans. I have a pair which tells me whether I'm losing weight, or putting it back on again - they get too tight, or they fall off me.

Well, they finally fell off me. Completely. So, I have to say goodbye to them. :( I loved those jeans. *sob* (They were the ones in that ass AV, btw, with the Arsenal badge on, from time to time). But not enough to put weight back on again.

Back in August they fit me just right. They were a size 16, btw, just in case anyone was wondering. Going back further, to last January, they were way too big for me, but passable, with a belt holding them up. I gave up smoking last February - which could explain why I grew into them again, by August. August was also the last time I weighed myself. It was in the Science Museum, in London. It was in public, on a special interactive exhibit. When the read-out came out, I nearly passed out.

Gonna whisper this bit, cos I hate it...

It told me I weighed 13st 2lbs (184 lbs).

Ok, so, I am 5' 9", so I carry weight well, when I have a bit of excess. But, that was too much excess. I vowed to get it off again.

I cut down on chocolate, crisps, and all kinds of unhealthy snacks. I began eating better again (I found this easier by then, the cravings for fags had almost completely gone), I excercised more, I took up Karate, etc.

And now? NOW??? I weighed myself this morning, on my brand, spanking new bathromm scales.

I am now 11st 9lbs (163lbs)!!!

:nana: :nana: :nana:

I've lost a stone and a half (21 lbs) in six months. Bloody good going, I think! I haven't even been on a strict diet. I eat plenty, drink lots and even eat chocolate when I really want some. I just watched what I eat a bit.

I'm chuffed to bits, especially because I am going to be Chief Bridesmaid for my brother and his fiancee in five week's time. The dress is a size 14 and very tight fitting. I feel bloody great in it!!!

So, that's it. I said it was girly. :D

:nana: :nana: :nana:

now if I could only fit in my size 6's again, I'd be happy.

(you're a lot taller than me :) )

US sizes are different from UK sizes, aren't they? AREN'T THEY???

Cheers, hon. :D

Woo hoo for you Lou  I've lost around 3 stone in about a year so I know how good it feels to have clothes falling off you! (I had to say bye to a lovely pair of trousers though and that was tough *sniff*) It's always good to feel healthy and that's the main thing I think and it makes so much of a difference when you feel happy in yourself.

well done once more!

That's cos I'm a big kid. Well, not as big as I used to be, but still a big kid.

LOL! Looked a bit gay? Should go down well then.

Cheers, EL!

And, VERY well done to you. Great going, girl!!! :nana:

Hey, that's double my weight loss, in double the time. Same rate of loss. :D It's a good, steady rate of loss, actually, isn't it? It works out at just under a pound a week. None of this yo-yo, crash diet crap, just steady loss from healthy eating.

You are so right about it being good to feel healthy. I'm always happy with how I look, but to have an almost flat tummy again is GREAT. First time since I had the kids, I think!

Go Lou!

I have to tell you that I have done similar work and it truly does feel incredible! I dropped from a size 20 down to my current 14, but it took a lot longer, lol. My highest weight was 225 lbs. I am currently holding at 175. At 5'5" it doesn't sit well, lol.

Pfffftttt to Cloudy. I have NEVER been a 6. I have always had large hips, the smallest size I remember is a 9, way back in highschool.

the fascinating this is:
I HAVE WEIGHT TOO! i wear it well...

edited cuz i was wiping mayo off my lips:
CONGRATS LOU!

You git.

Now, pack it in, I'm feeling horny now. Just like you to get me horny, then refuse to come finish me off.

Stillettos you say? I like tall men.

I didn't say I was tall. I'm 5'3.

Hon, you don't realize how little-boned I am. My wrists measure about 4 1/2 inches around - an adult sized bracelet will literally fall off my arm. I can forget wearing a watch unless it has a leather band, and I can poke more holes in it. And I wear a size 4 ring.

I have no idea what a size 4 ring is, but it sounds like a good size.

Good on you, too! Brilliant going!!! :nana:

Yep, that's me, too: very "hippy". Does give me nice, womanly curves, though. ;)

And, having an ass man, he's happy. :D

Cloudy, I wear a size K ring.

Think baby sizes....I've never been able to buy one and just have it fit - I ALWAYS have to have them sized, because they don't make them small enough for my fingers.

Sorry, Vella, I over-looked your post for a minute. Didn't see you there. You're so small, you see. :p

Thanks, babe!!!

Not I. I was off for a good long while, but am back on them. I suppose in the long run, they willkill me, but in the short run, they provide relief for my headaches. It might work if my roomate were to quit, I can't drive when in the grips of a bad one, but as long as they are around the house, I'll never be able to pass them up I'm afraid.
