How many of you believe in Eye for an Eye justice?

I'm just wondering, it seems that that is what Bush will be useing against whoever did this to us.

In the general sense of "the punishment should fit the crime" an eye for an eye justice is a good and logical philosophy. It must be tempered with some sense of proportion to be effective. It is far too easy to let "an eye for an eye" escalate into atrocity without a sense of proportion.

I am counting on his attempting wisely to solve the problem, and not to exact vengeance. The latter will slowly turn NYC and lots of other places into toast (one reason why Disney's stock has collapsed, eh?). The former will restore order and hopefully, freedom for such as the poor Afghani victims of the Soviets and Taliban.

if it was eye for an eye justice america would kill 6000plus innocent civilians

If by an eye for an eye you mean flattening Afghanistan(or what's left of it) i say no.

If you mean taking out Bin Laden and his network, I say certainly. Even if he's innocent of the Trade Center attack, he's already admitted to enough to deserve a death sentance.
