Existential Musing.

hi ozy,
in case yer serial about this,
pure: [JW's account appears] "made up"

OZ Isn't that the case with all philosophy?

yes, in a sense, Plato 'made up' (invented, imagined, creatively crafted) his philosophy,

otoh, when he states "Aristotle said, xxxx" he does not make up the quote, xxxx.

and if he says,
"my words echo those of the poet Anaclyteus, who once said [whatever]...." he does not 'make up' the name and that there was such a poet.

but in the creative spirit, ozy, perhaps you'd agree that Wiltsworth's points perspire triangularly, and that the 'existential' philosophers are not bozoniferous, as claimed, but rather lusterless in their detumescent rationalizations.

colorful, yes, but in the words of Heidegger, jolted by entfremdung.

Nothing better for a nightcap, than a jolt of Entfrem, but it should be drunk before it turns to dung.

exactly. a point aptly made in the famous line of the Marino hynm,
'as it falls from Montazuma, watch for the dung on the shores of Tripoli'.

I hate Existential philosophy, wrought with an unhealthily high percentage of intellectual charlataans and neotermages. Fuck 'em. Fuck 'em all. Fuck 'em with a shovel and then bury them with the shovel and then bury the shovel.

Again, will the real...

Oh! You're already standing, Slim.

That's Sartre harsh, Joe. :(

And Sartre was more forgiving then most. :D My personal fave, mixed with Buddhism of course, seriously. He is semi-sound. :|

I don't mind existential things: objects, stories, poems, movies, music, etc. It's the philosophy that disappoints and inspires both distrust and disgust at.

Magnolia and I Heart Huckabees were great movies.

Its actually more hopeful than many religions. Sad day, isn't it .:D

Philosophy, like policy, is just words.

Now words on the other hand...

Are a bunch of put together symbols that mean ... mean something in someone's mind, somwhere in the world. ;)

aww Joe. It's only words. And they're not worth all that much. (I thought them quite amusing, which is about as much worth as you can ascribe to any words)

The thing is, that words are all Peur has, again: they're only words and words are all he has, to take your heart away.

Or are you telling us that Joe Wordsworth is your real name and that you just made up the other RL name to confuse and confound your existential enemas?

*Hugs* Joe, I do believe Gauche in a particualarly British type was was trying to diffuse the tension. :)

Pure love, just go on, for once do the big thing and play nice. The guy's asked nicely and really, what are you getting out of being perverse?

Sorry, otheriwse I'm totally lost here *chuckles* I'll erm....shufle out the door now quietly ;)

. . . There is no end to the number of people I could name right now who understand having that position . . . and I'd be suprised if you're going to tell me that you find yourself unable to appreciate that. . .

Nobody has EVER made malicious fun of my name. ;)

Pure is ... Pure him, and never said anything bad, just interesting, AS always.

What did Joe ask nicely? :D ROFL I am so certain there was no question in the first post. Just complex opinion, which is Joe and, which is good. and coaxes us to give our own. ;) Like it or not :). Thats Joe.

As I said, it's only words. It's not like he called you a dualist. Take ten paces, turn and fire your rhetoric.

Pure is not likely to acknowledge this post but he is sometimes amusing. I thought Wordswidth a very witty soubriquet. Although repetition makes a dull blade.

What is it that hurts though Joe? Your pride at having a nom-de-plume made fun of? Wherefore pride in a nom-de-plume?

The best he could do with mine (those many months ago) was gouache. I laughed at that too.

Well, I laughed at the weakness of it.
