Evening all. Thanks for the bump ((((Ice))))) (I like being bumped into). I've been trying to not be on the computer during the day.

3 more weeks to go.

Hey bruce - nice bod.
well in that case *bump and grind* there u go

ice

Hey Ice,
thanks for the bump. It reminds me to get off my butt and do some exercise. I'm all wound up after spending the afternoon with a group of people going through all the stuff I don't know. *sigh* Please let me pass....please.

I've been so bad lately. Went for a run this morning and have been eating cinnamon buns and coffee ever since. Need to go for another run. Need to get that motivation up again. Have to take a look at that picture again.

Anyone around this evening? :nana:

Hey Cama,
I'm ok. Had a bad day today...sick and slept through most of it. I am so looking forward to the end of April. Oh, to have a life again (and be a bit more social). How are youd doing?

hello, I just started to read your thread and I have not read it all the way through
however here is what I did and it made a tremendous difference in my appearance
1. body for life exercise program (I use the gym but you can get small dumbells for women)
A) lifting on mon, wed, fri. upper body, lower body split
B) running tues, thur, sat, and sunday
heres my tweak though, you are supposed to do only 20 min of cardio 3 times a week. I like to run socially so to keep up I add some time and distance:

Mon. upper body (see the body for life website)

Tues. 5k (3.1 miles) on the treadmill first thing in the morning on an empty stomach (water
only)

wed. lower body

thurs. 10k (6.2 miles) on the treadmill first thing in the morning on an empty stomach (water
only)

fri. upper body

sat. 5k race at a local event (I never even come close to winning just do it for fun :D )

sun. long run 8-14 miles at an 11:00 min mile give or take (nice and slow)

I also take caffine first thing in the morning on an empty stomach before I do all of the above and it helps tremendously with my running

I cant afford the body for life diet so my diet looks like this:

breakfast: 1 cup of old fashioned oatmeal w/splenda and a bannana, decaf coffee
snack:chocolate protien shake w/ground flax seed
lunch:salad w/olive oil and grilled chicken breast, veggies
snack:chocolate protien shake w/ground flax seed
dinner:salad w/olive oil grilled london broil, chicken or tuna, veggies
green drink (that stuff you see in the vitamin store)
snack:chocolate protien shake w/ground flax seed (before 7:00 pm)
also a big key is I try to drink a gallon of water a day, but
for you probably a 1/2 gallon would be good

so thats my plan sometimes I dont stick to it though so its been helpful to me to write it here :D

good luck and post some more pics :)

oh BTW.........very nice Idea for a thread :rose:
I love a woman who cares about her body (eww and a runner to boot  )
gonna add this thread to my subscriptions :D

Hey thanks for posting. I got busy and haven't been checking threads as much (that grad school thing). This is great. I kind of fell off the bandwagon last week, but this should help get me going again.
I'm so going to check out the body for life site. Sounds great. I was thinking of buying some dumbbells and maybe a bench (depending on cost). I can lift much right now, but am starting to think that some weight lifting is needed. Love that spring is here - I can run outside. :)
I bought some whey protein drink yesterday. After the Easter binge, I decided I'd start trying to work that in as the snack, instead of granola bars or fruit.
Sigh... getting back on track.
I was thinking I should take another pic and see if there is a difference after a month. There likely isn't, but it doesn't hurt to check. At least I'm getting to the point where I can actually do reps on that ball.
Thanks for posting. Needed a push. :D

I love the number of people who are doing or checking out different exercise programs. As you may have guessed, I tend to get motivated and then work takes over and then get motivated and then a holiday comes along. It's a bit of a cycle

Hey Cama,
thanks for the info, that is great.

I've been very, very bad lately. I didn't just fall off the wagon, I crashed it and it is a pile of rubble.
I may have to start boring you with what I did during the week again. For some strange reason, the idea of putting up how lazy I've been makes me want to be sure I have something to put up. Go figure. :)
