I was chatting with one of my sub friends and we were both window shopping at a fetish clothes shop web page. It was just for women, the usual French Maid, Genie, Nurse, Pirate girl, school girl, and so on kinda place. They seemed to have a bit of everything.

So I asked if she'd like me to play dress up too. One of the first things I asked about was an Executioner's hood. And seemed to really turn her on. Maybe do the whole leather bit, pants, vest, and boots and hood. I'm still a ways from where I want to be physically to invest in pants right now, but a scary look might be fun for occasional role playing.

Does anyone here dress for play?

Actually I don't WD, but I have been thinking about it more and more. I think my reluctance to doing it has been for two reasons.

1) I love being naked and having my subs naked as well. Therefore, buying expensive clothing seemed counterproductive.

2) I always thought that most people who went for the whole Leather look were trying to overcompensate or use props to enhance their ability to be physcologically dominating. I realize this is an unfair prejudice, but it always is in the back of my head.

However, recently I have been thinking more and more about using clothing as I would use a crop or a whip, as a prop to enhance the experience. This has made the concept of dressing up to be more attractive to me.

Not sure if this was what you were looking for.

Yeah, Zip, I know what you're saying, and I've never been attracted to leather before. By no means would be an everyday thing. For me, it would only be for an occasional scene or special occasion.

I never have liked dressing up, just the same as I dislike roleplay. I'm not really sure why it is such an incredible turnoff for me, but asking me to dress up a certain way or to roleplay immediately makes me defensive and annoyed. Almost to the point where I consider them *limits*.

When I was little I loved playing dress-up and had a very active imagination (and still do) however, it was always very much grounded in reality. My play horses and ponies and dress-up costumes and stuffed animals all had to be 'real' looking. No pink furred kittens and cardboard crowns and big-headed odd-sized dolls for me. My props needed to be as close to the real thing as possible.

That's stayed with me into my adulthood. A Dom friend told me the other day next time we meet, he wants me in garter and stockings, something I never wear and in fact don't even own. My reaction surprised even me...I was just so pissed off at that request. I think it's mostly because I hate fake people and fake things, so asking me to dress a certain way that is not natural to makes me feel "fake".

I love wearing baby-doll style nighties and lingerie and own quite a few of them...but that and a collar and cuffs is about as fetish as anyone will ever see me in. I do like seeing a little bit of leather on a man or woman, but the more 'natural' it looks, the more I am turned on by the Dominance and simplicity of the look. Ideal fetish club wear for a Dom, to me? Black jeans, long sleeved shirt and a leather vest, with a bullwhip or a crop at his side. Yum :)

Dressing Up & Down

I am not all that into "Domme" Dressing. I have a few interesting things, but I mostly wear black.

No, I undress for play.

Oh wait, I forgot. I just bought this garter belt, hose and bra ensemble, last weekend. So maybe I will dress up some for play, when the opportunity arises again.

My Local Bar

I miss my neighborhood bar in Toronto, the Bovine, where on any given night you could see or do just about anything. My black leather matrix coat, black suede fringe jacket, black leather pants, bettie page button shirts and various kick ass boots are a little extreme for this seaside town. *sigh* Hey WD....wanna buy some leathers? :)

I think in time I may adopt to some sort of "play clothes"

I do like to the thought of mystery, and not showing my face adds a bit to my character. ( As if I'm not a charater enough without it. *wink* ) I might wear something along the lines of a mask or face paint. Other than that, I'd have to wait and see.

Kickass Boots

Now being the Imelda Marcos of the african-american community, I can get behind the need for some Dommely kick ass boots!

I am genetically incapable of passing a shoe store or a bookstore.

Queen West just east of Bathurst on the North side, just West of the Velvet Underground. No sign, just a bunch of scrap metal hanging off the front and the initials BSC on the door in small letters.

I can pass the shoestore but the books....thats a whole different story.

I do not wear anything during play.

I'd love to see someone dressed in leather though.
