Exchanging insults ≠ debating political

I must first clarify that I cannot explain why I can enjoy to debate with someone who consistently resorts to insults rather than arguments. The act of being insulted can be deeply hurtful and is widely considered a form of harassment. It is not something to be celebrated or encouraged.
A healthy and productive discussion relies on mutual respect and a genuine exchange of ideas. When one party abandons reasoned discourse in favour of personal attacks, they poison the well of communication. This behaviour can be distressing and has no place in a meaningful dialogue.
If you find yourself in such a situation, it is often best to disengage. Walking away is not a sign of weakness; rather, it is a display of self-respect and a refusal to participate in a toxic and fruitless interaction. True intellectual growth comes from engaging with those who challenge your ideas, not your character.
I, on the other hand are either a very weak person or a hurtful one myself, because I tried to explain a couple of times where the people (and I use the term loosely) I 'discussed' with err and tried to make valid points by logic. I failed every time. I even tried to lighten the mood by being funny but to no avail. Insults is all was added from their side (and I'm ashamed to admit I added a healthy dose myself) to the discussion.
Anyway. If the mood strikes me I will try to reply in cockney next time. Scots was fun.

I am done here.
Dolf? I made my point - there comes a time when one gets tired of suffering fools. That time is now for me. Good luck finding one of these shitball right wingers having conversations with you.

Hahaha. Nice. Play stupid. Rollover and make it seem like I'm now picking on an innocent lil baby.
F'in clown. 🤡

We have to suffer fools like yourself and we're not runnng away crying. :)

you're an ass and can't chew gum and walk at the same time.

fixed it for you.

AHEM!!!

We interrupt your regularly scheduled Lit grudge match to REQUEST that one and all refrain from this particular smear as it unnecessarily involves one who

<-- is an Ass

and yet is not part of the shitfest discussion.

Your attention to the matter is appreciated.

Perhaps indulge in Laz's preambles. If it weren't for words like pedo, narcissist, misogynist, racist, fascist, threat to democracy Laz's postings would slim down from a paragraph to a sentence.

The left refuses to accept or criticize any of the failed policies of the previous administration. They portray Biden as some sort of savior knowing full well that his cognitive ability was suspect as far back as his inauguration yet they boast as the protectors of democracy. If it wasn't for double standards they'd have no standards at all. If you point out Biden's failures they round up the posse and attack with some pretty vicious rhetoric, in some cases even attacking family members.

So, in short, it's Biden's fault that I'm being stupidly harassed?
That's a bold claim.
But well, the poor man really has to put up with every fart that any right-wing troll has stuck up his arse.

Just exactly how do you shove a fart up someone's ass? Lol. :)

There are three main motivations for posting here.

1, To have your political opinions reinforced by those who agree with you.
2, To vent your anger at those who hold views that differ from your own.
3, To solicit a range of opinions on topics you find to be interesting, in order to better understand both the issues and the reasoning behind the opposing opinions.

The mark of an intelligent mind is the ability to entertain a thought without accepting it. - Aristotle

Yes, I am just venting my frustration.
I like to win arguments without resorting to the insults, name calling, and obscene words often directed to me, and the threats of violence I occasionally receive.

I am confident in my ability to prevail in an environment that respects knowledge, civility, and rational thinking. :)

ARSE? Brits are snowflakes. Sharing an observation is somehow harassment.
Crikey, see, slingin' insults like you do in a natter is a bit like tryin' to build a house with a wobbly spanner—it just ain't gonna work, is it?
You can't get someone to see the light by callin' 'em a muppet. When you start with the personal digs, the other geezer's ears close up quicker than a pub on Christmas Day. They ain't listenin' to your point; they're too busy gettin' their back up. It's not about the facts anymore; it's about feelin' disrespected.
And let's be 'avin' you, anyone with a bit of bottle can tell the difference between a proper argument and a bit of a strop. When you're leanin' on insults, it looks like you've got no real arguments in the locker. It shows you're a bit lost, mate, and that's not a strong look. So, if you wanna win someone over, you've gotta use your loaf and your words, not a bucketful of abuse. Simple as that.
So let's stop discussing raspberry tarts here and now.

You're not quite all there, are ya? :)
Listen darlin', you're spot on, ain't ya? Goin' into a proper dust-up of a debate without bein' all there, well, that's like tryin' to row a boat with a soggy biscuit. It ain't gonna get you anywhere fast, and you'll end up lookin' a right mug.
A bit of common sense and havin' your marbles about you, that's what separates the chatter from the proper graft. It helps you keep your head when all around you are losin' theirs, and it stops you from soundin' like a right plonker. So yeah, you're bang on. Keepin' your loaf in order ain't a bad way to go if you wanna win a point. Simple as.
