found guilty of 6 of the 8 charges brought against him
A former head of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission was found guilty of federal fraud charges Friday, becoming the latest among several once-powerful city employees felled by a lengthy public corruption probe.
he got caught and convicted over pushing contracts to someone in exchange for extreme discounts for personal home work, plus lying to secure a $1.3 million loan.
The verdict is the latest win for federal prosecutors in a corruption investigation that started in January 2020 with charges against Mohammed Nuru, the former director of San Francisco's public works department and a go-to bureaucrat for mayors for over two decades.

Violating the public trust should carry a minimum sentence of twenty years.

That would likely put an end to the corruption,

The same for financial crimes.

👍

I agree. And no early release bullshit.

Salary should be attached when he gets out to pay back every penny

ANY public figure convicted of a crime while in office, or on duty should lose their pension.

There are 2 justice systems in the US. One for the rich. One for everyone else. By implementing mandatory sentences...this equalizes the 2 systems. The mandatory sentence must be big enough for deterrence. Sentences...especially mandatory sentences...are not just punishing a criminal...but also deterrence of future criminal actions. Twenty years is fair.

There are a couple job professions that naturally attract individuals willing to break laws for profit and gain. The mandatory sentences can be specific to those professions of trust.

Provide proof big guy. You know...that funny thing called evidence.

It has to suck watching us take ours down...and theirs down...knowing we will take their idol down

You would have thought...if you had proof...you would have done something while your Fascist Party controlled the House...Senate...Supreme Court...Justice Department...and Presidency. But I guess they were just lazy and incompetent
