A year of it hasn't improved it. It's made the players less likely to be penalized for it, so I suppose that part is better after a year but it's still bad.

Even if you take aside the almost undeniable reality that pitching injuries are way up due in large part to that, it makes the experience much worse.

If you just want highlights, go watch Sports center. If you're watching the game at home you can multi task to your hearts delight. But if you go to the game you should be able to go and enjoy the game. Now it's all sped up. Anytime you have to go be in line for a beer or food or the bathroom, you miss twice as much action now (because the lines aren't any faster). You still pay even more for parking and even more for tickets and everything else. You just do it all now for half the experience. And if you go for the experience of going with someone, you get half of that too.

Nope, if you actually love baseball, this stupid clock is just robbing you.

I'll acknowledge your point on the injuries -- there might be something to that.

But I'm a giant fan of baseball and I love the slow pace, but it got to the point where half the game was guys dicking around with their batting gloves. Baseball games should not routinely be four hours long with half of that being wasted time. Just my opinion.
 
Mets get a three game sweep over the Phillies,close the gap to four games.

I don't think this is quite over yet,losing Wheeler is gonna hurt Philly IMO.
 
Red Sox get a four game sweep of the O's,doing what you should do beat the bad teams.Good chance for another Pirates up next .

Caught the BoSox v Guardians last night at Fenway. Lots of damage to pitching ERA’s, but the Sox pulled it out with a late surge, fired off by Bregman beating a throw to first. Fundamentals always matter.
 
I’m pretty much a traditional baseball fan. I confess I’ve had some negative thoughts about Banana Ball. But had dinner tonight with someone that got tickets and he said his family had a great time. Now I’m wondering if I’ve been too quick to judge.

Thoughts out there, pro and con??? Would like to hear thoughts, especially if you have actually made it to a game.

I looked up tickets because I wanted to go see them, and they're already sold out. I think it would be great fun. Like seeing the Harlem Globetrotters.
 
Banana ball is OK on a small scale but I believe they have signed contracts for TV appearances etc that will choke them out. There can be too big a stage.

They should stay smaller scale and reap the benefits. I prefer a good minor league / college game to BB.
 
Mets lose their 8th in a row,Giants move into the last wild card spot.

And look a them Mariners winning 7 in a row tying Houston,but can they finish.Rangers also moving up winning 6 in a row.

I was pulling for the Sox today. I thought they were going to pull it out. Man, Crochet is so good. Too bad Anthony got hurt - he looks like a stud.

Sox and Yanks have been streaky but middling this season. One of them will get the wildcard. Toss a coin on the remaining 15 games.

The Yankees are so sloppy this year. Yeah, they hit dingers, but they make an awful lot of fundamental mistakes.
