Red Sox beat the Royals 8-5 after scoring 5 in the first inning.

Boston won 38 games at home in 2024. They won their 38th game at home this year tonight (August 4)

Yankees lose again. Toronto wins, Sox remain 3 games out.
 
Red Sox beat the Royals again, 6-2 and gain another game on the Yankees. Toronto gets a win over Colorado.
 
Dustin May continues to have 1 bad inning that derails his start, 3 2/3 innings tonight, need him to get straightened out. Jordan Hicks can’t seem to find the strike zone since coming over from the Giants, hopefully Payton Tolle can help, but getting Roman Anthony extended is fantastic!
 
Every time I see Michael Wacha pitch I think, “Why didn’t they re-sign him”.

I don’t know much about the prospects that Boston gave up for May but I read where it was way too much for a guy like him.

Sox lose 7-3….now they head out on the road for 6 games vs. SD and Houston.
 
I don't care how many runs the Blue Jays just scored against the Rockies. I still think they are playing way over their skis and will be facing a regression soon. And Houston is also playing with smoke & mirrors. Yankees are still viable even with all their assorted meltdowns lately.
 
Yankees have been embarrassing to watch.
Would love to see change, and hopeful that Bednar takes on closer role from now on.

Sure the Blue Jays may regress but they’ve had a really great year so far. IMO a team that others like to underestimate.

Yep Ozuna already been benched and they couldn't even trade him.Getting nothing from the SS position and I mean nothing with Allen.

Schwellenbach and Strider look like keepers,Sale maybe next year but getting older.Other two spots up for grabs.
 
Red Sox beat Nick Pivetta and the Padres 10-2. Pivetta has had a good year this year, I would have re-signed him instead of brining in Buehler but last night the Sox had his number.

Yankees lose to Houston and Toronto loses to tha Dodgers….back to 3 games out.

Atlanta will get better next when they play the Smets..
