Everything Baseball

I don’t have a favorite team yet (maybe if the deal with Vegas falls through for the A’s and they go to Utah).

I liked him when he was a Card and he showed up for Detroit.
I’m not a Cleat Chaser
Vegas is still one state over and you might get their games anyway, unless you get Rockies games.

Ah just a Flare fan lol ok.

Just the qualifiers for those who didn’t get auto bids from 2023

See? That's what I mean. I love that it's baseball time, but I don't really plug in until March, and given the state of the game around the Dodgers and the Yankees, it's easy to feel very 'meh' about it until the games happen and we see what the teams really are.

I’m calling it now. The WS Champs for 2025 will be from the AL Central!

I heard the Devers press conference. He is not aware of the new management there it seems. I bet it works out.....

Raffy and Bregman were both over to Alex Cora’s place for dinner and had a conversation. I’m betting it’s DH or a trade for Mr. D.

Would you be happy with trading Devers? Not sure the Red Sox would be in a position of strength dealing him right now, though there are plenty of teams who would be happy to add him, I'm sure.

All depends on what they could get for him. And his attitude

Nats fan here. I can’t say that I’m super optimistic about this year, but I’m not a fair weather fan so we will just see how it goes.

And 2019 was a pretty crazy season so you just never really know what will happen. Looking forward to opening day.
Ah, but your AV is always the highlight of baseball season 💋

I'll have you dressed up in pinstripes one day...

Might do spring training game on Wednesday.

Any spring baseball fans here ever visit Florida? Fewer teams than 20-30 years ago but still fun. What is favorite park? Tigertown in Lakeland, Pirates in Bradenton and Blue Jays Dunedin are ones I attend on regular basis.

Think the Braves are in Orlando, pretty nice stadium as well.

Have a good time Mo. (y)

Wait I think they moved to North Port ,close to Venice. And they play the Rays tomorrow.

Newer stadium.

Sounds right. Went down there to Port Charlotte last season to see Rays in Spring Training but that drive was pretty miserable even though I got drunk and napped whole ride home.

Afternoon baseball Yankees @ Braves.

More interested to see what sort of lineup the ATL rolls out.

Couple starters sprinkled in,N.Green at SS probably makes the team.Drake Baldwin at C might make it.

HR Riley 1-0
HR Olson 2-0

I can’t help but think this is a homer graphic when the WS teams get such a jump in points. I would think the World Series loser getting 4 points and winner 5 points would be adequate. I’m not irritated enough to build it out myself but just enough to complain.

I'm excited for the 2025 MLB season to start. I grew up in the Los Angeles area a Dodgers fan. This was during the days when they had the likes of Mike Piazza, Eric Karros, Adrian Beltre etc. Moreso today I'm a fan of the game more than a specific team. That said, it's hard to see a scenario where the LA Dodgers don't repeat as World Series Champions in my humble opinion.

The baseball landscape is littered with teams that blow up payroll, pile up the free agents, go into the season as heavy favorites, then fall short. Games are played on the field, not on paper.

That being said, good luck to your Dodgers. Maybe you make it to the series against my Orioles. :)

Anthony Redon is downright stealing from Anaheim.

I'm glad the team went out and spent some money this offseason.

I think the AL west will be very competitive this year.
