Yes and it doesn't matter if it is an online friend or real life one.

I know people who say they are a friend online but don't act much like one. Oh well life goes on and so must I.

I think the keyword there is supposed It can be very emotionally draining deciding whether someone is a true friend or a "supposed" one.

I have been there, possibly you need to decide whether you want this friend in your life any longer.
