Ever broken blood vessels in your face after orgasming?

I've searched the internet for similar questions and it seems I'm not alone, but I can't find any discussion on how to prevent it from happening...

As my ability for insanely intense squirting orgasms has increased (Yay for me), so has the odds that I'll wake up the next morning, looking like I spend the night crying or throwing-up. My skin is so fair, it hard to cover with make-up the next morning.

People have mentioned it a couple of times now, and I've made excuses, but I can't do that forever, lol

At first it was funny, like WOW, that's amazing. But now that it's happening almost every time, and I don't want it to become a mental block, does any have any suggestions?

Maybe you should have your blood pressure checked. If your blood pressure is ok, drink less fluids before sex.

Thanks for the suggestions :) blood pressure is well in normal range, I will have to try less fluids. But just curious as to the theory behind it? Thanks for your help :)

Sounds like a week vessel wall problem. Try taking dietary supplements such as rutin, that works to strengthen blood vessel walls.

Do you have any other issues such as fatigue or bruising easily?

I've only had this happen to me when I've been choked a lot during sex. Assuming you're not indulging in breathplay, this suggests some kind of circulatory problem to me and I advise you to get checked out by your doctor just in case.

From your brief description, it doesn’t sound like you have an actual broken or ruptured vein, (i.e. varicose veins), which are permanent and unsightly, rather it sounds like something is causing the capillaries in your skin to expand and turn red or blue. Varicose veins usually occur on the legs, but can appear anywhere on the body.

There are a number of things that can cause capillaries to stretch and become visible. High blood pressure puts more pressure in the veins and capillaries and when having sex, a person’s heart rate increases, which forces more blood into the capillaries.

Also, the body can retain too much fluid/water. You didn’t give your age, which can also be a factor. As people age, (40s, 50, 60s), their body tends to retain more water naturally, and excessive fluid/water buildup in the body can cause more stress on already weakened capillaries when heart rate increases. Also if you are immobile for long periods, (i.e. sitting down which working in an office), your body will tend to retain more water at any age.

If you think you are retaining excessive fluid/water, after you have been immobile for a long period, (particularly sitting), notice if your ankles appear to swell. If they appear larger or swollen, press your thumb into the flesh just below and to the rear of your inside ankle bone for about 20 to 30 seconds. If a noticeable indention remains after you remove your thumb, you are retaining too much fluid/water.

If the problem is excessive fluid/water, the solution is better diet and moderate exercise. The key word for exercise is moderate; aggressive exercise in this case will increase pressure in the capillaries. Excessive water is removed from the body by the lymph system, and the lymph system does not function properly when the body is immobile for long periods. The lymph system depends on muscle movement to function properly, and long, brisk walks are best for eliminating excess fluid/water from the body.

Diet is also important. Much of our diet today consists of prepared food, and commercially prepared foods contain more additives and preservatives, and less actual nutrition. A healthy diet and moderate exercise will help to increase the strength of the tissue in and around your veins and capillaries, which should minimize or eliminate the problem.

People who retain too much fluid/water usually bruise easily. It is also a sign that her muscle tone may be less than good. At 31 it isn’t a serious problem; however, as she grows older, it could become a problem. If her flesh/muscles are softer or more flabby than they were a few years ago, it isn’t going to get better on its own.

Since bottled water came on the market, people tend to drink more water than they need. Also she would likely benefit, (greatly), from moderate exercise: nothing fancy or expensive, just doable. A brisk walk every day after work for 30 t0 45 minutes will keep the lymph glands in her legs healthy, and moderate upper body exercise will keep the rest healthy. She can buy light, padded dumbbells, (two to five pounds), at Wal-Mart for just a few bucks. Lifting them shoulder high, or over her head will help maintain good upper body muscle tone.

Genetically, men generally have more muscle mass than women, and if a woman doesn’t keep her muscles active, as she grows older, they just turn to mush. Exercise doesn’t have to be aggressive, just moderate, three or four times a week.

yeah she exercises everyday, she does all the flights of stairs at her job during lunch and she has an exercise she does every night as well

maybe try a cucumber mask? or tea bags? drink some coffee? spread used coffee grounds on the face?

This might be a good question to ask at a health spa...I'm sure they'd have something that would shrink the blood vessels and surrounding tissue.

Thank you Everyone for your suggestions :) To clarify as Nasty Deeds did already came to the conclusion of, it is more of a red rash-like capillary issue. It fades away in a couple of days. And I have been drinking more water these days, I think it may be playing a role.

After talking about the suggestions with hubby and a little "field research", I think the issue might be related to what FuckMeat said about breath play, it seems that I hold my breath when I orgasm. I guess I've always been to busy enjoying it to realize it. Perhaps preventing the issue lies in making adjustments there.

So I was wondering, (maybe it's more of a Poll question), but does anyone else hold their breath while orgasming?

As a staunch more conservative than Barry Goldwater republican, I'd be happy to help out....not exactly sure how this works....do I just plop 'em on her face, is it a bukakke thing?

As far as I know, it's very common for men to, but I thought it was more common for women to hyperventilate during orgasm. I don't have any statistical data to back that up, however, but I understand it has something to do with the chemistry of orgasm. See, for example, erotic autoasphyxiation, mostly men do it (or, I guess, are caught :p).

@Nasty, you sound doctor-ish. Are you?

Thanks for the insight, I'll have to do some research of the chemistry of orgasm, very interesting.

I know I tend to have the same issue after a particularly intense orgasm and after crying/vomiting.

Don't know why but we're busting the little blood vessels in our face.

You shouldn't cover up, wear the little bastards like war paint for your hubby. Show him that you're proud.

;)

Similar situation here...

I definitely hold my breath when I orgasm... Also, interestingly enough, I also have an issue similar to this on occasion. There have been probably a dozen or so instances where I have had blood vessels in my eye rupture during a super-intense orgasm. A large patch in the white of my eye will be bright red for days if not weeks after this happens. It also happened to me in college a lot when I threw up from binge drinking. Now, though, I have a flawless diet and drink tons of fluids. I am in tip top health (no BP issues or conditions I'm aware of) and my doc just says its probably a result of the way I strain my head and neck during the big O. Didn't make it seem uncommon.

Not sure if this helps, but at least you know you're not the only one who can't hide the fact that they had a great time last night ;)

Go see a doctor or find someone who won't fuck you so hard. I could be nice and gentle so you wouldn't feel a thing.
