Have you ever been recognized by your photos or AV? The topic of whether to show your face or not has been talked to death, but I'm just interested in peoples real experiences.

Lets go with nope, not happened yet.

dang it

Carnus

I am with Carnus on this one. But don't know just how much longer that is going to hold out.

I've been an advocater of this site to many friends that I found worthy enough :) And they'll do the same for their friends...

Every now and then someone will search around the site and find me... so I've been "found out." Not recgonized :)

I saw a dude on my college campus and i swear i've seen the same beard on some AV here. It was a very distinct beard. I can't be sure tho cause i don't remember where i saw that beard on this site and it's not like i can walk up to someone and say "Sup man! i think i saw your beard on a porn site" =P

No..not likely to happen either since I don't post my face here...now if I went around wearing just that purple bra I posted...there might be a chance ;)

That is why I don't

That is why I don't post my pics on here. I am horrified at the thought of being recognized by a co-worker, friend or family member. I have a co-worker that I know comes to this site. I would like to put an avatar on my profile but don't know how to do that.

You need to have 100 posts before you can have an AV....

No wonder I couldn't figure it out..lol. Thanks!

I don't think I would post a pic of my face... Someone (maybe the columnist Dan Savage, but I'm not sure) pointed out that whatever you put online will be accessible forever. You may remove it, but someone else may have downloaded and reposted it without your permission. That means that your future children, grandchildren, bosses, etc, may someday run across it.

Scary, huh?

Only if you are ashamed of what you have done or posted online... not that I am saying you are, just stating it rhetorically

I had my face up for a while, but didn't leave it long. I prefer my sketches. Never been recognized.

Myself, I don't give a flying fuck.

They would have to be here to see me.

Besides, anyone who really knows me would hardly be surprised.;)

I was, a couple of years ago, from a BDSM site I used to belong to. It was a coworker; she started acting strange for a couple of days, then finally came up to me in the lunchroom and mentioned that she thought she'd seen my picture online somewhere ...

I just looked at her and said, "I'm shocked! You were cruising around a bondage porno site? I never would have guessed!"

She turned beet red and scurried away.

Planted something in her mind, though. Turned out she was actually quite curious, and we ended up hooking up about a month after that ...

Not that we know of...yet...
I'm sure it'll happen one day...but to tell the truth...so what...if someone sees it and asks about it...I'll say...yes that's me/us...how'd you like the picture????:D

I can honestly say that no one has ever come up to me and said "you look like this strange floating train I saw on a porn site. "

:D

a coworker's (adult!) kid found Lit and he showed it to his dad, who recognized me from my WRITING
Sheesh
He asked me about it but there was no issue

I've had a few comments about the big red engine but that's been about it.:D

Anonymity can be a good thing... as well as provocative.

Great story! Table turning can be so much fun. ;)

I look...

A lot like my AV... so if any of you happen to see me in the mall or whatnot, please feel free to come by and say hello.
